I just think that Soviets should be more flexible in dealing with a variety of things Germans can throw out. Having specialized tiers is fine as long as Soviets can jump from one to another without suffering huge setbacks.

Great post tengen. Soviets are on bad shape in early, mid and late game. It is more than small tweaks to fix this faction. There are design flaws that need an overhaul.

How does a T70 not own this strat? I mean if someone sticks directly to that Pio > Tiger build, and any point provides fuel like it does in CoH2, it seems like even if you are way behind you could still manage to get a T70 out several minutes before he has enough CP for the Tiger (which should come around the 18 minute mark). Nothing other than a teller mine would be able to scratch it.

I took it as a joke. I hope Soviet tiers 3 and 4 are somewhat reworked, as well as some changes to the units in them. (SU-76 better not be forgotten)

T70 will hit a mine field and the german player can easily build a green squad with Faust with a slight deviation from the strat.

Pips were perfect in coh1. You needed about 4 squads of pios to killer bee swarm an infantry squad. Now they are basically 4 man assault gren squads.

One does not simply PioCraft into Tiger without a P4 or Ostwind.

True, but the soviet fanboys are not less "fanboyiy" and my opinion is they'll never, ever, be.

Back on topic, the post it's a joke of course, a good one, but this tactic actually works both in 1v1 and 2v2 if you replace Tiger with something earlier like T3. And results in an horrible owning since the game start.
Letting aside jokes as the perfect counter will be a shock squad in an M3 :), I found that soviet reserve army it's a quite good reply to this tactic with those irregulars. Very cheap, as pios, and better armed. Rapid conscription will help to increase the swarm. So there you have your zerg army :) that will eat alive those pesky pios.

Just a random idea, what about having an option to convert your T3 to T4 and vice versa for some fuel and MP cost say 1/3rd of the building cost and say this can only be done once per game.

Or reduce T3 or T4 cost by say 40-50% if T3 or T4 already built? This gives soviets less flexibilty but doesn't doom them if they need to adapt later in the game.

Cant see this happening though tbh.

Best counter is conscript spam, they're OP this patch. And never pick commander with radio transmission is waste of hability, you can know what is gonna do the opponent before even run automatch (green/piospamm). Thanks relic.

I just can't believe whoever did the last patch was so clueless to not even imagine the gren/pio spam problems.
