Seems the Germans would repurpose every possible armored vehicle. Isn't this an old Renault?

Yea that's a WW1, French Renault FT. The Germans re-used a lot of stuff, indeed.

it would be interesting to know how many german veterans units and formations were on the west front upon the arrival of the D-Day troops in Normandy and with all the newly german armies that were created by that time is even harder to know .
