Hi,

I am trying to learn COH2.

How to merge conscripts in to my units? Or how to mobilize shock troops ?

Also , what do the symbols in the Unit emblem mean ( like a 'x' object on the lower right)
Is there a beginner guider I can read?

First, you should play the campaign a little since it gives you alot of tips.

Is there a users manual for coh2?

how about a tip on how to control movement of conscripts ? How to mobilize conscripts ? I am stuck on 'scorched earth ' .

I think there is actually a tutorial somewhere within the game that explains a lot of the mechanics. Might be a good place to start, then the campaign to get used to the controls and game play itself. There's also auto match against ai but I'm not sure how many people use that.

The Campaign will teach you some things, it will also teach you things you don't get in PVP - like Order 227, which you will need to unlearn in order to play anything other than the campaign.

I am stuck on 'scorched earth. What different tactics should I use?
I tried setting mines, but eventually I get overrun .
I think I am missing something ...

Try setting mines even before you get to that stage.

After you get the engineers you may have some opportunity after blowing the equipment but before and after you are setting fire to everything

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
