So technically half your army fighting off 1 unit, while the other 1gren squad left with pios have to deal with 3-4 cons.. Makes perfect sense to me

That's because you are narrow minded.

The same build can deal with conscripts just as well. No one said anything about splitting your army.

From a gameplay perspective 1cp Shocks and Guards are still as annoying and unfun to play against as 5min t-70s are...

So 1440MP and 120MN to counter a 440MP unit? Isn't that a bit much to dedicate your entire early game army to fight one squad? And you can't even get G43 before he gets Shocks.

2x Snipers: 360 + 360 = 720mp
MG 42 Team: 240 + 720 = 960mp
2x Grenadiers: 240 + 240 = 480 + 920 = 1440mp
2x G43: 60mn + 60mn = 120mn

German snipers are buggy as hell. At least attack move does not always work and sometimes they just run straight into the enemy infantry.
I personally dont think 1 cp shocks mean auto win for soviets, im not even sure if theyre op at all, BUT its definitely not fun to play against them that early because Shocks dont fit into the early game mechanics since they destroy all T1 units in a few seconds.

Yeah whats up with german snipers holding fire all on their own? I've found mine to just sit in cover and do nothing even when the hold fire button isn't active. Have to click on an enemy squad 50% of the time to have them do something. Also like the previous post they do sometimes just ignore things and run into enemies? I feel like these mechanics should be top priority in fixing they are basic mechanics for the game and should be working at 100%, or is this just latency issues at the work here or something else or perhaps even intended? Am I missing something here?

You're not dedicating you're entire army to fight just ONE unit. You're gonna be fighting conscripts too and whatever else your opponent has. I'm just recommending a T1 build that can handle early shocks optimally.

If he gets more than 1 shocks (or if it's a team game) then your build becomes very cost effective.

Double snipers in a team game? They'll have a very very hard time avoiding clowncars...
The 1cp shocks and guards combo eats up pretty much everything in 2v2.

No. There's a bug. And AFAIR it's allready reported in the bug section.

I like to see that Shocks become available at 2CP. Now the very early game they are to strong for any other unit. Even 2 grens (without lmg), witch are more expensive, cant handle them so early.

It's a pain as Ostheer to deal with shocks/guards being spammed in 2vs2. Apart from optimally microed combined arms/tanks there is no serious counter against them.

The 1CP call-in infantry may or may not be a balance issue in 1v1 but is definitely a balance issue in 2v2.

Nothing like 4 Shock squads popping smoke nades everywhere followed by real nades and insta-melting of everything short of a tank <5min into the game.

You might think snipers or MG+mortar spam might help but a clown car and a mortar, 120mm or otherwise, will ruin your day.

The above is very easily achieved by a semi-coordinated Soviet team. Short of Bunker spam cheesing on maps that are easy to choke, Germans are going to get crushed by Soviets on par with their skill level.

I cant take this game seriously anymore. I mean who balance this game ? Of course are there always some balance issues, but such obvious are embarrassing. Furthermore this game gets boring, always the same build orders, the same spams.

Good luck securing enough ammo for G43 spam and enough excess fuel for vetting.

Even then it's a soft counter at best.

Pay2win G43 Grens or pay2win PG can win them easily, that's the truth.
But forcing pay2win doctrine in 2v2 is just fucking retarded.

Back in August I can play AC spam like PE, they are shit now. :(
