I hope they don't, unless they implement new maps with the feature...

I don't like playing winter maps because of the snow, I don't want to imagine playing summer/spring maps with mud.

I'd like to see only heavy vehicles getting affected by mud.
That way we will have some maps with more infantry and light vehicle play.

But knowing Relic, only those who paid for the new DLC will see the mud.

isnt that what the game is about. using the terrain to your advantage?

i like snow mud or whatever. the problem is that the maps that have them, have not implemented them the right way.

It would be nice too to see that arty shells and explosions creates new mud zones.

Look for a new DLC commander with this ability:

Go Behind the Bushes - Conscripts may now make mud

The same commander also has "Hit the Dirt", of course.

I can vouch by riding mountain bikes in the UK, that when snow thaws on open countryside, it makes the most gloopy horrible thick mud.

I just fired up the map with thick mud and honestly, it seems pretty cool. Infantry slogs through it like deep snow but moves much faster. It also didn't slow down an M3 by that much. The map itself looks like it would lend for some crazy games.

They ruined a good map in hill 331 with all the mud tanks getting stuck more mud then playable area what a crap decision this was I would of rather seen snow after playing 3 times on this crap design map is a terrible port imo.

I for one like the idea of having deep snow/thick mud in order to add anoher srategic layer to maps (and a little bit of atmosphere of the eastern front). But they shouldn`t overuse it because than it just becomes an annoying pain to constantly deal with.

EDIT: Btw it`s so funny when you deploy a Maxim in a thick mud puddle and the lying gunner is (almost) entirely below the surface :D

I love the new Mud effect, I think Hill 331 is a great vcoh port, its the same layout but the the way it is played is vastly different, its great :)

Did mud affect more to heavy vehicles than the lighter ones?

It would be great having a natural deterrent to heavy armor spam and focus more in infantry and light vehicles.

General Mud... is as know to the Soviet veteran as General Winter... it affected so much the eastern front, to even make a representation you should have a map made of only mud...
