I assume their squads split midgame and one half starts fighting your own troops. Quite a bummer.

2x speed bonus on reversing.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. But cool to see to also get different minor factions via battlegroups.

There was already a conversation about this. These are not the French, but the Italians from the coastal defense division. They used French Adrian's helmets

good eye!
Here is some info from wiki:
During World War II, M33 was the main combat helmet of the Italian Army, but lack of resources meant that some second-line troops were issued the Adrian helmet, or even no helmet at all. It continued to serve as the main combat helmet of the Esercito Italiano until the 1990s.

I expect this battlegroup to have captured Carro armato S.O.M.U.A. 32 of these tanks were received by the Italians and sent to the island of Sardinia.

I'm not really sure what you would expect from Vichy's troops. France was demilitarized and could only hold the territory they possessed.

Same vibes as people suggesting japanese army as viable addition when they had nothing to go against stuart.

The only thing that is interesting in Vichy is the Char D1 (shortly before being transferred to Tunisia), this tank managed to fight both against the American troops and fight along with the M4 in the same formation near Free France. Otherwise, it is difficult for Vichy to even find units for one battle group.
