russian armor

Stuart is the worst armored unit in the game, by far.

sounds alot better to swap m8 with stuart, stuart is ''fine'' (except a lot of things) but most go for m4 anyway, 70 fuel for a stopgap is too much.

haven't played m8 in a long time, how is the stats and price compared to the stuart?

- better AI than stuart.
- less AT power
- Cheaper and call in
- 4 CP = too late for lv.
- better recon than stuart
- shotgun ability is bit risky but worth it.

do you think a swap between them would be better? make it come out earlier than stuart, where it might actually have an impact, how is it against a luchs? thats gotta be its primary competition

Luchs is vastly superior to the Stuart. It doesn't have as much AT as stuart, but it's AI is brutal, especially with veterancy. Stuart will beat a luchs in 1v1. It's sort of an anti-LV like the AEC.

The grayhound should beat the luchs just by looking at the stats (can't say from experience as I've seen grayhound in game maybe once or twice in all my years of playing).

Grayhound has 40-60 penetration for luchs 55 frontal armor.
Grayhound has 43 armor for luchs 20 penetration at all ranges.
Grayhound needs 10 shots to kill the Luchs, with 3 second reload.
Luchs fires 9 shots before the reload. Grayhound fires every 3 seconds. Luchs needs 25 shots to kill it.

Maybe if you put the luchs directly in front of the greyhound and just do a static fight, maybe luchs can win. But in reality, with movement and all, greyhound should win.

EDIT: Wrong. Luchs vs M8 grayhound --> Luchs is vastly superior. Surviving with about 33% HP.

Nope. Was wrong. Luchs VS M8 Greyhound wins easily. Tested it out 4 times, at usual combat ranges that occur in games. Only time when Luchs didn't beat an M8 easily was when it somehow bounced constantly. It was a draw actually. The last shot from the M8 killed the Luchs, and the last shot from the Luchs, killed the M8. Spooky stuff.

First fight. Luchs won easily.

Second fight, Luchs won easily.

Third fight. A stalemate.

Fourth fight, luchs won easily.

Luch has 43.4% chance to win in a static fight at range 35. The chance actually go up if both vehicle are moving.

a 43% chance to win an engagement in company of heroes 2 really doesn't mean what you think it does

it means there's around a 50/50 chance the luchs wins or loses

Grayhound cant win Luch due to lack of AT firepower, HP and armor.
the point is Grayhound come faster, deal more bleed and good scout for the rest of the game (unless Stuart, you need to vet 2 make it better).
- LV like Stuart is harder to use since you need to pay more attention, more mirco to grant a same result. Meanwhile enemies just buy a 2nd pak or OKW Puma and fuck you a whole game.
- And people tend to forget USF need to buy weapon rack, nade (around 15 fuel) or back tech Capt if Stuart fucked up.
After all, Reduce it fuel cost to 55 fuel and delete engine shot bullshit useless nobody care (yes, nobody care about it since USF release).

Stuart is best used as a LV counter...but you are usually in dire straits if you need to rely on that to deal with the Axis LV phase.

PhDs are kinda overrated anyways... especially when it comes to winning forum arguments.
