Now I think Allied all factions should have some meat shield tank or BIG medium tank against Germany Panther and Heavy TD.
For Soviet, maybe KV1 could be basic unit after build T4,but like other heavy tank, same time limit 1 on the field, and maybe should have damage reduction back.
For USF,I think Pershine could like OKW KT,but build or call-in after unlock T4.

KV1 should be baseline heavy for the Soviets, instead of giving to DLC commander (counter attack tactics)

Preferable to be researched at Mechanized Armor Kampaneya (tier 4). Lets call the research "Improved logistics" which grants +10 fuel for the soviet player and unlock Tech Tier 4.5 thats KV1 tank.

For the counter attack commander, replace the KV1 tank with call-in KV1 command tank (only 1 available per commander at the sametime). KV1 command tank call-in as a Vet3 KV1 (passive -20% dmg reduction, and 50 vision range) with 3 abilities, "Inspire", "Mark target" & "Coordinate artillery strike".

As for USF, just buff the Sherman HP from 640hp to 800hp, and add armor upgrade tech for Sherman. USF Sherman are already 110 Fuel each with 12 popcap not inclusive of the teching cost and timeframe. Current version of USF is handicap with expensive units with high popcap cost.

Shermans should have "makeshift armor upgrade" which grants them -10% dmg reduction but decrease their speed by 15%.

Anyway, Its a terrible idea to give any USF player the option to build pershing with the current patch status.

^^Retarded posts.

Soviet have a 140fuel tank rapist and the second best AI tank in the whole game (T34 and variants) for a combined cost of 230fuel, which happens to be exactly the fuel cost for a Tiger which is a general heavy tank going against 2 specializers. The SOVs are perfectly fine and, if anything, should be nerfed somewhat to stop being so good (120mm spam).

USF have the amazing Jackson which in and of itself snipes every single tank there is (except Ele/Jagd ofc) and the M4 Sherman which is very good against infantry with free repairs for both. The only trully heavy USF tank Pershing sucks balls against even nonVet Panther and is very good against inf.

At any rate, the game's problems definitely are not the tank stuff.

I would rather want the kv-1 to be back at 800 hp and 20% damage reduction than it to become a stock soviet tank

besides allied heavy tanks can never ever become powerful because the very smart lelic (tm) designers thought to give wehrmacht a 180 fuel race car with the resilience of a heavy tank, and a tank destroyer gun

Which is fine, you get more effective alternatives than 230 fuel heavies anyway

Wrong on every level possible and lacking the big picture of the SOV-OST design.

Unironically right.

There is some hope for you.

in 1v1

1st sherman out in the field by 20 minutes.
1st pzIV out in the field by 20minutes.
1st JpzIV out in the field by 22minutes.
1st jackson out in the field by 22minutes

for an extra 2 minutes i would rather get a jackson, the timeframe for sherman to shine is incredibly short. That is why i rarely see sherman been build in games.

I would rather the JagTiger couldn't HE shoot infantry/team weapons from across the map. If the person has invested that much in AT it should remain as such.

If you're gonna throw numbers out there at least have an idea of what you're trying to accomplish. By upping the health to 800, you're making it die in 5 shots. That's T-34-85 health. With this upgrade, you're effectively giving it panther level health. (Unless it gets snared.)

Why does the sherman need 6 shots of health.

Or better yet, stop trying to fix what is not broken (not talking to you btw don).

Tank mechanics are maybe the only thing in this game that is 100% balanced and good, if you set aside the banana slide.
