Is there even any work going on? Status updates?

No, Age of Empires IV is in development. Relic has considered and ideated on Company of Heroes 3. They even launched a survey in 2018 about CoH III ideas.

After Age of Empires IV and DLC roll outs we probably will see the Relic team focusing on CoH III.

But until then, there is max a designer, a programmer, and an artist assigned to it; so max 3 people, but that's a lot considering its a small studio working on AoE IV

All we know for sure is Relic works on two games: Age of Empires 4 and another one we have no info and Relic already shared 3 surveys in 2017 about CoH: "COH1 VS COH2 - Feedback Wanted", "The Future of COH" and "The Future of COH and You - Campaign".

The plan is to show you that progress as those games progress, rather than tell you what it's going to be like today. Actions louder than words, and all that.

aerafield: @LimaOscarMike I would say nowadays is a decent time to try CoH3. If you loved CoH2 however, there is a solid chance you're gonna dislike CoH3
