Dear Relic,

I hope you are doing well, and I hear that you are working on AoE4!
I wish you luck on your new adventure. It’s just that.... well

RTS hasn’t been doing so hot these days.
The new generations have seemingly moved on

And I fear that CoH2 will be the last CoH game. But that doesn’t mean it has to die.
Don’t let it go out with a whimper.

Please, if RTS goes down, ask SEGA to allow you to unlock the mod tools. CoH2 can live on with us. Grow through us. CoH’s future is in your hands

Maybe I’m just being pessimistic. AoE5 could be a huge hit! I know you have it in you to make it great, and, if it succeeds, CoH3 could happen!

But, if not, I would ask that you let us take up the burden. Unlock the mod tools.
We can unlock the beautiful potential we all know CoH has. If only you let us.

Sincerely, Kiwi

I did not see this coming

Is Vancouver that expensive? More than say Toronto? I have been to Toronto and it sucked hard. I would not live there for any amount of cash.

Curious about Vancouver though.

Kiwi out there fighting the good fight!

Yes Vancouver is the one city on the whole continent more miserable than Toronto. I live in Toronto.

Very expensive (I live in Vancouver)
I looked it up, a one bedroom apartment is average $1600 a month

Actually that would be an absolute steal of a deal if it's in Vancouver proper and in decent condition.
You probably use numbeo.com. Well here's the link: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=Canada&country2=Canada&city1=Richmond&city2=Vancouver&tracking=getDispatchComparison

It also shows the rent of $1600 is OUTSIDE downtown Vancouver and its suburbs like Richmond BC also cost $1600.

Read as:
"dear devs, you are miserable, because I don't like your game, but I'm even more miserable, because I hate myself too, this is why my very, very sad life prevents me from finding something that would bring me joy, so I will stay here, hate on you and self pity on myself"

If coh1 had the graphics and playerbase of this game, I'd never would have switched to coh2.

I agree. This game is an unfinished work.

Its somewhere in the middle of this picture.

Such a beautiful game. Too much frustration. Needs the base game to be fixed before endless balancing and revamps. What about taking polls then implementing what the majority favors? Don't do pay 2 win. Learn from other games. Just let purchases be cosmetic.

At this pace, the game will NEVER be finished. 7 years later and the balance team still can't balance the game. Anyone with half a brain cell should question whether "balancing" is what the bal team is really doing or is it just pushing their own agenda.

After 10 years, Blizzard is still balancing SC2 (though there had been expansions which amount to reworks)
After 18 years, they are still balancing WC3
After 21 years, MS is still balancing AoE2.

Even Worms: Armageddon received an official patch after seven years. Damn it, Relic, are you completely mediocre? What you can't what you can't do modding tools for your game.

TBH they did not until reforged.
There was like a decade long gap?

Bit shorter. They started to balance again in like 2018 before even announcing reforged and from a quick check it seems the last balance patch was in 2011. In between there were just game improvement patches.

New modding tools are not only a support issue, but also reputation issue. After CoH2 single company, many people turned backs on Relic and Relic and did not try to fix the situation. Further bad DoW3 and again there is no desire to improve the situation, the game was closed after a year and also did not receive modding tools for those few people who at least somehow wanted to fix and make the game better. I am extremely wary of future games from Relic, the studio quickly exhausted its reputational stock and if Relic publishes games in the future I will study it under a microscope and be more picky. And Relic should now take steps to improve its reputation. And modding tools for CoH2 would be a great step - CoH2 has a large fan base and opportunities for development.

Actually, they don’t even have to develop new mod tools

They are in the game, they are just locked so we can’t use them. Relic just have to unlock them

Global financial corruption/money laundering is coming to Vancouver with Chinese drug trade moving through Canadian casinos and real estate. In the past British empire sells opium to China, now China sells opiates to the world/Canada :(

How dirty money is driving up real estate prices (Vancouver/BC):

According to CBC News report:
How dirty money is driving up real estate prices (Vancouver/BC) | The Weekly with Wendy Mesley

Update:
Posted today on twitter by current CoH brand/marketing manager (former CoH2 lead, returned to Relic this month)
https://twitter.com/alexdlmr/status/1194525285439266816
"The study findings obtained by Global News are a startling look at what police believe to be the massive money laundering occurring in the Vancouver-area real estate market."
