Maybe contact your team mate/opponents if they remember that game?

Otherwise it looks like you forgot to stop the search and were afk, your team mate could not hold the line alone and you got base raided and either destroyed until the same happened to your mate or the VPs bled out

I thought about the weird occasion, when you´re "almost" in a match but still in the lobby. Sometimes you can see that players join a match and leave only in the chat.
Maybe for those other 5 players the game started normally but on his end it never even started.

Would fit into my believe of how the matchmaking often desyncs

lol the last time I got you as teammate you were afk for the first 10 minutes, saying "I didn't know that I was searching for a game" as excuse.... so Im pretty sure you did the same shit again.
