UKF was so overpowered on release that some players still haven't let it go.


If by overpowered you mean wehr sniper one man army countering your entire early game until 222 rips you a new pooper then sure.

The faction was legless until the AEC buffs and buffs to IS upgrade affordability

If allied were so butthurt about the past, we'd still see "don't buff ost, because march deployment patch happened" stuff.

It's nerf after nerf after nerf because Relic always overpowers their new releases.

And now its a buff after buff with pop adjustments, because balance went polar opposite to that release op with them...

I know.

They were game-breakingly overpowered at release, got hit with the nerf hammer until they weren't, and what was left wasn't a well-designed functioning faction.

The rest of their history has been the balance team wrangling with Relic to have basic features like snares added.

You are talking about different things.

1v1 UKF was crap.
Teamgame UKF was completely BS.

I dont see the large nerf? It's all buff as far am im concerned. at 62.5 range, you lose nothing with 50% speed decrease...


You ever played versus hull-down? In mass the only thing changes is, that enemy can shoot back while be handycaped. XDD he stays immobile.

Its not like StuG would get a SU85 and can force anything. It would only fix non-brainer.

The answer is fairly simple. There is nothing wrong with OST perse it's just OKW is so much easier and more powerful why bother taking a chance on OST when you've got way more in your favor as OKW?

UKF in 1vs1 back then couldn't even reach the late game to unlock these late game tanks or abilities. Most games ended by the time 222 rolled out to mop up the brit players pathetic attempts to hold a fuel point having four men plinked by old wehr terminator sniper.

Nerfs were needed for late game cheese that Brits actually had a chance to unlock in team games with a teammate covering their glaring weaknesses.

So no they weren't op in ones like OKW or USF

If OST is fine, and it's OKW that's OP; what's the explanation for OST's 37% win rate in WCS?

I don't know, how often did those who picked OST actually play OST compared to OKW? How good were those players with OST compared to how good they were with OKW? How good were those players in general?

I don't understand why OKW should be more easy than Ostheer?

I have large problems with OKW, they are so vulnerable by simply blobb-tactics like only-cons start or Maxims. They get easy trolles by clown-car and their base-buildings are easy targets you better build them in front of your base and get no benefit of them. The hole fraction has nice ideas, but doesn't gets benefits of it.

Only Jagdpanzer IV and Obersoldaten are kind of remarkable.

....

Back to topic. I still say, one big problem are unfair mechanics. e.g. comparing grenades of all fractions, its not bringing everything to same design, but eliminating unfair mechanics.

e.g. most grenades are still op. Not dodgeable while other are.
