The point is HVAP has great Pen but horrific reload, so you can’t compare the HVAP M36 with the su85.

Dude It's never gonna bounce Jacksons. Hell vet ap Jacksons have a pen like ~400 enough to even pierce a ele.
But SU85's have a pen of 286 equal to panthers vet3 armor. Atleast bouncing su85's would be nice.

The Jackson's AP rounds ability is specifically for penetrating the armour of ultraheavy vehicles. It was designed to go up against the 525 armour Jagdtiger.

No, because the JT should not get penetrated by super mobile 145 fuel non-doctrinal TDs that have almost the same range. Right now two Jacksons can casually drive up to a JT and kill it from the front without breaking a sweat. JT is meant to hard counter allied 60 range TDs and only die from getting flanked or stunned and bombed with an off-map.

Jackson Vet 3 with HVAP has 390 penetration from range 0-30 so when he said roughly 400 penetration it wasn't really wrong.

HVAP does 200 damage so the slightly slower reload gets compensated.

I didn't say it should have it. I said that's what it's for.

I personally think the Jackson and SU-85 should have the penetration of the Firefly.

Panthers myth busting vol 1

Panthers are not counters. They are as expensive or more compared their so called countered units. Even vs heavy tanks reflects a direct cost / performance ratio. No resource advantage involved.

Panthers are heavy tanks only if we add the super heavy tier for what is commonly known as heavy tank, namely is2, kt, tiger, perishing, isu152 and so on.

I would rather it get better accuracy with vet than more armor. Panther currently gets zero bonus accuracy iirc

Looks like OKW panther gets on-the-move acc at vet 5, which may as well not be there

I like the idea too, more armor means more rng. Acc is a useful buff for an average speed shooter like phanter.

But I would love to see a vet3 range buff.

Better moving accuracy. Replacing vet 2 entirely with +30% moving accuracy (0.5 -> 0.65) would be fantastic.

Yeah then hull down 75(yes 60*1.25=75 range dude 75!!!!) range panthers gonna come and ruin every allied tank on the planet.


So an ability in 2 commanders which can be changed and needs a rework anyways should prevent the implementation of new ideas.

I think vet 3 allied infantry should be 100% immune to vet 3 MG42 / Vet 5 OKW FLAK AA truck.
100% immune to both dmg AND suppression. Should bouncing all bullets.
Because units should always be immune to their counters.
Especially core non-commander units. Don't you agree?

Making Panthers immune to AT would mean they're immune to any counter.

Move pintle mg to vet 2, give panther armor skirts upgrade. Upgrade gives panther 960hp.

Should work better as a dive tank now meant to hunt down isolated tanks and TDs or take potshots against distracted tanks. Smoke canister would increase its survival chances as a dive tank.

I believe most people use panthers like a heavy tank and therefore, are always in range of TDs. Often getting hit by TDs driving up slightly and taking pot shots.

Jp4 is amazing against TDs. Schrecks are amazing against TDs.

So I thinks stugs and JP4 should have their long ranges pens increased to 290 to facilitate your ideal vision for the game. See as comets/churches are "Immune" to their counters.

Double StuG (about the same cost as a Panther) butchers Churchills.

Comets do not do well against Panthers.

My opinion on the 230 FU heavies is pretty well known, but I think nondoc heavies (Panther and the UKF ones) are all balanced really nicely.

I'd have no problem if the Tiger, Pershing, and IS-2 were rebalanced to be like the Comet.

The guy is insinuating that giving panther +10% armor will make it "Immune" to TD's.

Comet only 800hp.
Panther is waaaaay better than comet.
Panther is almost a doctrine Pershing with a bit lesser AI for longer range.
Panther is in strange spot.

Super powerful in 1v1 but very expensive to field
In 2v2 it seems in perfect.
In bigger game modes, it becomes cancerous if allowed to be massed.
Panther spam with volks blob is almost instant win

You're comparing one of the most powerful anti-infantry guns in the game to the Panther's gun, which has worse AoE than a stock medium tank.
