Suggestion for the Balance Patch / Yellow cover to punishing

Yellow cover is punishing the player who uses it. If you are in yellow cover, all indirect fire and grenades hits mean 99% of the time a squad wipe because the units tend to clump up.
You shouldnt get punished for using cover.
Maybe 20-30% damage reduction like green cover(50%) would do the trick?

Your thoughts.

I get that but its more likely to get a squad wipe in yellow cover then in "no cover" or even red cover.
That does not make any sense.

Red cover applies a +25% damage increase. You are more likely to die.

If it's a matter of making sense, shrapnel and debrises are more lethal.

What I would like to actually see is "offensive" and defensive type of grenades.

Offensive ones would do bonus damage vs units in cover/garrison while defensive ones would do less.
