Is a nerf coming to the M2 .50 cal?

I'm just wondering since there is an inordinate amount of complaining about it. I play mostly USF with UKF here and there, it's rare I play any other factions. I usually build at least one of these and they aren't bad but they are no where near the best MG and no where near as good as an MG42.

They say it sets up faster than anyother MG but that's not true. The MG42 has been setup and in place for like 5 minutes before you can even start building a .50 cal since it's behind tech. I'll agree it tears down and retreats faster.

The .50 also has a pretty narrow arch and can be flanked fairly easy since it doesn't suppress as well. The other thing I've noticed is the crew are really weak and die pretty fast. Not sure if durability increases if you were to recrew one with Riflemen or say Rangers.

Anyway, very overrated unit or at least one people shouldn't be whinning about since it's hidden behind tech and costs more than any other MG in terms of MP and pop (which it really shouldn't, at least not compared to the MG42). I hope it doesn't get nerfed again mean while nothing is ever done about the MG42.

Did you just create a thread saying people are complaining about the 50 cal (which they aren't) so you could say mg42 op?

Maybe you should try other factions and stop whinning about literally every axis unit.

Yes I never said MG42 and MG34 are OP. They are great MGs and Axis deserves them. But the whole point of the USF .50 cal is mobility. If you have to nerf it, then nerf the suppression not the mobility.

.50 cal mg nerf is weird and unexpected, since when did .50 cal ever dominate the battlefield lol. It just gets riflegrenaded to death and has a small cone...

And I play Axis if that's what you mean, and I will lose without MG42s.

I was just simply trying to answer why mg 42 was better(btw i think mg34 is kinda crap), i wasn't getting into the debate about 50 cal.

With good micro 50 cal is the best mg, good suppression, good damage, super fast redeployment good enough arc of fire. That redeployment speed on 50cal was too broken, so having it take longer is good change and don't make the 50cal any less powerful. Only thing is that you can't now with 50cal just instant redeploy that easily.

Pathcals need a nerf but thats about it
