Is Tiger/Ace an AI or AT tank?

This would provide good counterplay against the T34's ram ability and might improve the potential of Axis Anti-air (if well microed, the Tiger would be able to obstruct the path of planes and possibly even destroy them in a collision).

I'd also like to request one more ability added to this advanced turret rotation mode (this is the last change I swear). The Tiger crew will go in overdrive to lift the tank up even higher, then land upon a target with maximum momentum. The impact would have the blast radius and damage around that of a railway artillery shell. If you land on an enemy tank with turret, its turret rotation will be disabled for 120 seconds. This way the Tiger's own slow turret will be able to keep up once it's on the ground.

With these fixes the Tiger would finally be in line with the Pershing and IS2 and see actual use in high level play.


Please remember that the Tiger is supposed to be a generalist tank not a specialised one, so we cannot overly emphasise the AT capabilities of this overdrive from ace tiger pilots. We need to also consider how this ability can be used against infantry to preserve the role of the Tiger.

With that in mind I propose that this overdrive mode will also be usable at ground height, with the tank tilting forward to use the rotating gun barrel as a mine clearing flail which also crushes infantry that stand in its path

This way the tiger is not too specialist and this will make for a much more fair tank that is better contrasted with the pershing

and then give it a toggle ability that makes it fly like a helicopter (obviously no shooting possible since the main gun is needed to create lift).

How many game have you play for the nearest week To say "Tiger went unused" ? Because i just see Tiger/ace for almost every single 4v4 game i played for the nearest 2 weeks.
Tiger and ace are definitely famous unit in the current meta alongside fall, event more than cmrd panther.


Agreed, I think Command Panther is gone for good but current heavy tank meta is cancer too.

The Tiger I and Tiger Ace are probably the best heavy tanks available. They are vastly superior to anything cheaper and about as good or better than anything more expensive.

It is a bit sad how they kill off this unit.

Axis have only the Tiger to rely on now. While some said Tiger is OP because of its popular use, but truth is, what choice do they have?

Only once vet3 with the ROF bonus, and only the ROF, which Pershing is pretty close. But Persing is way more effective because of speed, speed, speed.

In the WC2019, killing IS2 is near impossible with the armor bonuce and faster retreating speeds and then click self repairs. I havent seen a IS2 kill in final rounds. Yes Tiger dies and dies.

Tiger while most commmonly used, is more of a force of hand. A unit with decent AT and good AI aoe. Something AI like shermans can provide for cheaper and USF used to good effect.

Panthers have gone missing in top tier games.
Brumbar no more too.
If this is not indication for Relic to look into T4...
