Two reasons to post this.
1. Don't be a idiot and try to wait for a call in but get more medium tanks.
2. Booby traps are one shot abilities that are bonkers.
Pretty much why the match is like it is is half between waiting for call in and booby trap abuse that lead to my vetted squads being wiped left and right. Because demos need to be nerfed for one shotting but booby traps are fine eh?

Didn't vCoh have a warning sound when you triggered a booby trap on a point?

It had both a sound and also an event, so you could press spacebar and dodge it.

Yeah with the "small" difference that all the (Panzerelite) booby traps were available for FREE

Yes but very easy to counter. You hear noise, push space bar, click squad to other side of point, and shift queue to cap. Takes about 2 seconds of attention. I never bothered with booby traps since they are so easily dodged.

I agree, but if they would change the booby traps from Urban Defense doc like that, they would become completely overpriced and useless.

Once you know that your opponent chose this doc, just get 1 or 2 sweepers and keep them nearby your troops or use them for capping directly. It becomes completely harmless and your opponent just lost 100 ammo. Unlike demo traps, you cannot "accidentally" walk into a booby trap once it got spotted, and the positions you can plant them on are fixed.

Agreed. Yes they are good, but they're expensive, counterable, and behind an otherwise useless commander.
