ISU probably should be changed in a way that allows it to be used against super heavy-tanks more effectively while being less of an instant-wipe to infantery.

The mancum drain is real!
But seriously, this game had nothing to do with classic, good CoH gameplay. Snipers, long range insta-wipe units and artillery completely drain the fun out of it.
The main bulk of this over one hour long game consists of:
1. running infantry in the middle
2. getting infantry in the middle one-shotted
3. rebuild infantry and repeat step 1
4. trying to kill snipers with artillery, which can sprint away, because why not
5. trying to destroy one long range unit with another longer range unit
I don't want to discredit the players in any way, (they played well) but the game designers.
This particular gameplay is aggravating, boring and static to no end. Snipers, ISU and guards don't allow any flanks (at least on this map), the use of cover or a somewhat dynamic gameplay at all, it's all about hardcounters.
It's really shitty. I can't imagine either one of you had much fun playing this grind for an hour.

Really well put. When I watched this replay I had to fast forward the first 20 minutes because of that.
Speaking of relic they took the 2 main problems in coh2 and made it worse with the wfa, namely fast teching and gimicky game play. They also pretty much introduced a new problem, blobbing, because of all the new weapon upgrades available that make blobbing rewarding.

the veterancy speed of Kübelwagen, flak halftrack and especially stuka zu fuß should also be increased. ever seen a vet 5 Kübelwagen? ever seen a vet 5 stuka zu fuß except in 4vs4 games that least 3 hours?

Sounds very much like classic CoH gameplay.
Sure, snipers were even more prominent back in the days, and they as well took a dump on the whole cover mechanics. But: Light vehicles were actually able to flank and chase them down - no AT nades and button to stop them dead in their tracks. And while it created a game-inside-the-game, you always had the option to fight one sniper with another sniper on even footing, which involved at least some kind of skill (if you don't count the miss-chance on moving snipers) and doesn't rely on a lucky artillery hit.
Long range insta-wipe units are completely new. The only direct-fire long range units were static (-emplacements) and mainly AT.
Okay, artillery was the same, if not worse.
Point is, Sniper-Guards-ISU is no fun. F--- that. I rather fight against a horde of conscripts and T34-85s, they at least stick to the rules.

-m10 being built AS COUNTER FOR KNIGHTS CROSS (I MEAN IT S AN ANTI TANK) which was annoying and abusive

-useless and never built vehicles: vamp, flamer ht, bulldozer, quad
-krad pushing + cap-reset
2v2:
-brits breaking 80% of games
-creeping barrage
-early long range mortar pit
-arty fest
-rep bunker spam. ever played vs sturmtigerost? - that guy had 1 unit (tiger) and 15 rep bunkers. we shot down his tiger to 5%, it survived and was repaired in 3-4sec
-game was always the same: wehr plays def+terror, one goes nebelwerfer and spams them, one goes vetgrens. the nebel guy also had 2+ vet snipers. US waits for howitzer and calli. cps for that are generated by sniperspamming and throwing warmachine waves at the wehrmacht
-people building 3+ snipers and nothing else
-the countersnipe - roulette: work out a tactical countersnipe, but your sniper misses (!!!)
-gameplay actually consisted of getting the enemy's snipers. who has more snipers, wins
