In no game should someone have the entire map and lose. Not sure what that says about the game. Gives no hopes for the medium skilled players out there. This game points out that US is missing a HUGE tank. Where is the Pershing? There is simply no tank that can deal with Tigers. I've won a recent 2on2 where US dominated the entire game pretty much and saving up for 2 Tigers was GG. Shermans go down...M10's are 2 shot tin cans. Put ANY paks....or shreks around them and you've spent money on a 1 shot tank. Sage had a good effort near the end and the Tiger STILL lived.

Also US at nade sux balls. Rather have the Soviets. Better yet...why not just use the old Vcoh sticky bomb. At least with Soviets and old US you could sticky/at nade and run...with USF you can't be too close....like...ok so the Tiger is able to almost kill the entire squad before the AT nade even gets fired. Smart...

The U. S. infantry tough you forget. 1 tigers can play what role, if two sets of M10 several infantry to small outflanking tiger is over

Eh. This came down to Giap simply lacking any serious AT by the end game. At most he had 1 AT gun, a few bazookas and maybe a tank destroyer. If that could easily sort out the Tiger tank, then the Tiger would be effectively useless.

Had giap had slightly more serious AT defences in one way or the other. He'd probably have won this.

Overall, well played by both. Very nice and agressive use of mechanized assault. rather nicely exploited the lack of AT from Giap several times and forced him to react to Angreifen's tune.

Dane. This guy beated me 2-3x times already, always doing the same strategy. Ofc I always tried to do something different only to find that USF is very limited in terms of tactical choices. Those battles and these replays show that the USF has very big problems vs Ostheer.

Bazookas, ATGs are one of the worst counters to a Tiger atm, 1 Tiger can solo them out and go back for repairs.

Considering that the USF lack effective AT that could hunt down enemy armor, Tigers have no problem sorting out american units, when took some damage, it can go back behind the Pak, mg-42 and shreck wall.

The Jackson supposed to fill this role, but Paks, shrecks murder him in a blink of an eye, the situation becomes worse on closed maps like Semois Summer.

The only viable option is for USF is indirect fire (which can be avoided) or a horde of tanks, which is unaffordable due to the MP shortage in late-game.

It seems that the USF lacks effective counters/tactical options through the whole game, and against a good Ostheer player it's always Ostheer > USF.

Have you tried the M8 Riegel AT mines? They are non-doctrinal and can blow the threads of the tiger, making it an easy target.

Thunderhun pretty much said it all. The only thing Sage did not do was make an AT mine with the M20 but seriously. You think that WEE is going to fall for those mines? As soon as you see the M20 running around you know there is a mine somewhere. Plus. just because the Tiger hits a mine doesn't mean it's not going to get away. It literally had no nackup a few times just tried to bait him in. US tanks aren't strong enough to bait someone in. Tiger is easy bait. Then the M10's run into 1 pak shot and 2 pg shreks...and it would be lucky 1 shot even got off. There goes a tank, just like that.

I already posted a game beating this with Sovs. The way you beat it with USF is by shutting down the game in first 7-8 mins and base pinning with LMG rifles using defense stance. At least, this is what I have learned since playing him way back.

True, or if you can't execute that, Rifle Company with E8s spam can overwhelm the Ostheer. Seems like the E8s is the best USF tank for late-game.

Well...not everyone has easy 8's mind you. I suppose Sage's advice is possibly the most interesting. Just lay your squads all over the place and suppress them. I might have to give that a try.

Adapt? The only reliable way to kill a Tiger is to attack when the enemy makes a mistake (what he made a lot). Only the broken call-in system and the "A-move, gamechanger Tiger" saved his ass. You did everything well and outplayed him, only that broken doctrine compensated for Angrifen's mistakes.

I'd rather say the game defeated you, not your opponent. It was Giap > Angrifen in terms of skill all the way.
