When we spend time working with the community to help them create really cool tools like this sadly it gets seen as us being lazy, rather than going out of our way to work with the community.

We'd like our jobs to be satisfying, and while we love working with the community on map creation, mod tools and other stuff to have that investment we put into it be seen as us not doing our jobs kind of sucks.

Which is a shame because Pingtoft did a really great job on this and we're glad to have worked with him.


In my opinion, it is a perfect division of labour that Relic focuses on the essential stuff while those in the community so able and inclined have the opportunity to contribute with nonessential features.

For what it's worth, having staff access here on coh2.org I am somewhat better informed than most of the community and I see the dedication and effort of the developers, and the fact the some people can bitch and moan while patches are released every month pretty much on the hour is beyond me.

Hetzers gonna hetz, as the saying goes... (Where is complexity, anyway?)

Can we suggest more features? If so, I'd love to see graphs like fuel/muni/MP float (maybe even with little symbols displaying build orders?) and some of the other post match stat screens.

But it is already great :D

Great stuff.

I made a similar suggestion on the COH2 forums a while back,with a few other mechanics.
Maybe you`d like to check it out (I made a mock-up) and get a few ideas for more features you could implement?

Resource values are not stored in the replay, so that is not possible.

That is very possible that the maps are mirrored or rotated - I did not do much testing on that. Please, tell me the map name and the orientation you think it should have and I'll fix it.


As I see it now, it's a general error on all maps.

Here's an example from a 2v2 I just finished. The left most part of my footprints should point at the usual base at the left (both players start app where the 1v1 base is too).

Still, with a 45 degree turn, my path would not fit. If you look at the north part of my cloud, there's a bulge in it. That's from flanking behind the house that overlooks the southern cut-off point.

I think this means that the footprint is mirrored. It would fit if it was mirrored on a horizontal line in the center.

its mirrored vertically, ... changing coordinates from (x,y) to (x,-y) will fix it.

Nice job.

One feature I'd like to have is additional scrollbar in the build order tab to scroll all players at the same time. Would make comparing the army progress easier ;)

tried it yesterday and loving it!
don't know why I get pretty high avg apm (~75/100), could be related to some autohotkey command, or I just spam a lot :p
the maps were still wrong tho

Thx for this great tool man, even tho it reveals my CPM that would match the average grandparent..:P

Is it possible to get access to the source code to the tool? I would like to add some to tools to it. I have a background in AI and stats so basically I am interesting the decoding of the replay files. I would like to create a tool that able generate balance theories on set of replay files.

You probably know that the November 12th patch (the Turning Point update) broke the replay analyzer. Any plans to update it?
