"Hidden" LUL. This has been the standard RULE since Vcoh. So you are talking almost a decade and it was the same in the last contest as well.
You are obviously not aware that there are perhaps mapmakers, who are participating for the first time? *rolleyes*

THIS IS CLEARLY WRITTEN IN THE RULES.
Now another question. A map like Lienne Forest, which uses urban Buildings and is covered 1/4 by an urban area but 3/4 is rural/forest. Is it considered urban or rural?

I will be submitting Alsace Moselle, which has been in the workshop for some time, it was incomplete at the time but it is nearing completion.

Editing scenario properties and adding map name and description on the loading screen is prohibited or not ?
Edit: Tried to mail the map to mapcontest@relic.com it fails. Sega.co.uk mails me back like 'Can't be delivered.''. Anyone knows what's going on with it?

Map name, description should be fine as far as I can tell. As long as it doesn't have the map submitters ID in it.
The email however should work, I'll send a message over and see what is going on.

It's still not clear in the rules. Like "You are only allowed to use buildings of one of these categories (Ardennes urban, Ardennes rural, Normandy industrial... etc).
Are there more hidden rules one needs to know?
The answer is yes.
I think you also can't use weather effects like falling rain or snow.
You can't use more than one 'water source' as well. Only one body of water, more than 1 and you get disqualified due to the same reasons as using buildings from different paths.
Or maybe not disqualified, but penalized.
