Excellent preview. Thank you pigsoup and Siphon X. for the hard work putting this together and for giving the players and event some hype.

So this is day-after-tomorrow, right? Relic made a tweet about a faceplate. Perhaps they should make an announcement about the date and time of the finals on their blog? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they ever did. Their last post on their blog about WPC was Sept.10th and it's all about Noggano. I also can't find anything about the finals date in-game.

Relic, you spent our skin-money (yes, I bought some too) to pay for international flights for DevM & Jesulin. Please, for the love of god, put some nominal effort into promoting the event.

itd be interesting to see how many people would tune in for the tourney in two days.

the advertisement for the finale was literally non existent. we did what we could but we are just braodcasting it to already interested fanbase. i wouldve thought relic wanted to maybe get more outside people to be interested in CoH2...

if the number of viewers are same, it wouldve meant that the finale did not garner little to any outside attention. thatd be a shame.

Maybe they can do better next time by working together with COH2.ORG? B-)

They could do better by making regular blogposts, tweets, and facebook updates. They could put an in-game splash up for the event that announces the finals stream date and time. They could get SEGA to tweet the announcement to their 1.6 million followers. They could get Twitch (their partner?) to include the event in their weekly newsletter. It baffles me that this kind of basic promotion stuff does not happen unless you pull teeth.
