One minor suggestion would be to change the word "platoon" to squad or fireteams, because technically even squads are bigger than 6 soldiers. Platoons are composed of of 4 sections or squads and consist of 26 to 60 soldiers. This criteria doesn't seem to be fulfilled in coh2.
One question that came up when reading the article was: Did you get to have a look at the multiplayer as well? You mention the abilities of the engineers and how fundamental defensive structures can be in multiplayer, however there was no sign of any defensive structures for the Soviet side during the closed beta.
Another minor comment regarding TrueSight is to add that it also depends on elevation (from within a higher building you should be able to see behind hedges).
