ah the pic doesn't match the event, if it is a ladder then no one gets eliminated. So that would make it a cup, unless of course it works like a ladder in which case your body text is wrong, these two things are very different.

The dates represent a time frame in that you have to play the games. The time frames overlap so there is more time for people to play the games and the tournament wont stretch over 3 weeks.
