Hype, why the fixed spawn positions if I might ask? Wouldn't it be better to have it be a coin toss for teams to decide their side?

Each map is usually played twice. So each team gets to play both axis and allied from the same start positions. This balances out any imbalance in factions and map starting positions.

For instance some maps favor the south spawn. So two games are played, giving each player a game from the good spawn.

MAP UPDATE - DREUX SCOUT Rev 14
Same steam link - If you are subbed you will already have the new version.

This map has been updated with major territory changes.



Changes made to conform to normal 2v2 map layouts:
  • The Fuels have been moved to a safe side location.
  • The VPs have been brought closer together.
  • The Munitions have been moved further to the sides mirroring the fuels.
  • A strong munition cutoff has been added to create two major cutoffs.


Reasons for changes:
Most 2v2 maps have a safe fuel location. This lets players focus on attack strategies and spend less time smashing their heads together on the fuel. It also helps random match teams that have a weaker player, since it will be easier to hold your sides fuel.

Most good 2v2 maps have the farthest VPs at around 190 meters from each other. This short distance helps teams triple cap when battles are won. And helps reduce final VP battles over the middle VP for quicker and decisive wins.

The new design also creates stronger cutoffs for mid game resource harassment.

Since the old fuel locations are now VPs, the cover on the map has not been changed a lot.

Fast pass battles will be critical good realy want to see a mini game battle on that map !
