Here's a good page for WW2 aerial pictures, if someone needs some inspiration for a map: http://aerial.rcahms.gov.uk/worldwide/Germany.php.

well done! just one questions: what map size is good for a map like Duclair 2vs2 from coh1?
Let me refer you to the first part of this tutorial, if you have questions regarding map sizes

To be clear, I know how to import heightmaps. What I'm referring to here is the ability to import a large image (kindof like a really big ground texture) to use as a template.
Thanks again for the great video series. Looking forward to future editions!

Great video series! One question, though. How can I import an image into the map to use as a template as I build the map layout? I saw this done in relic's worldbuilder video (approximately 1:02). There is also a blog post which mentions the technique (http://www.snakebytestudios.com/tag/company-of-heroes/) But I cannot find any actual instructions.

awesome. I was told by Eagleheart that it is not possible without modding, but you seem to be on the case! looking forward to your tutorial

It requires modding, of course but it's relatively easy.
Edit: Tutorial is up.
