Essentially, units have 120% HP. It's nice if you have nothing heavier than a Panther to take on an IS2, for example. Just to clarify: 20% dmg reduction applies to vehicles only. Infantry and crew weapons get a received accuracy buff. So arty will affect them normally In: COH2 Balance

USF was a strong faction in 1v1 for quite some time. USF has been weak in 3v3+ but the game takes its balance direction from 1v1. If you check the 1v1 win rates USF is leading head and shoulders above everyone else. Clearly it is OP right now in the 1v1 context. And even more to the point: those win rates are of the top 150 players. So it's clearly not a l2p issue. We all have our favourite but dont let bias blind you good man. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Why do S mines have signs?12 Nov 2015, 11:27 AM They shouldn't have signs though. Only way you'd lose a squad(s) is if you don't pay attention (keep on running through it) or its in the retreat path. And the same thing will happen if any other faction's mines were in a square 4 at a time spaced like s minefield and the opponent does the same thing or they're in the retreat path. Arguably the only benefit the s mine over an equivalent mine-field is cheaper muni cost (60 vs 120 muni for equivalent other faction field). But then again, it can't hurt armored vehicles and requires 60 muni in the bank to even order (compared to 30) so there's a tradeoff. So no, there shouldn't be signs. It already has tradeoffs in terms of usability in exchange for its cost. In: COH2 Balance

Going down the buff axis infantry route will require extra work: axis-soviet balance will also need tuning. Why do the job in 3 steps if we can do it in 2? I do support a change to pz-grens and grens from 4 man to 5 man (actually i say make all axis 5 man and all allies 6 man) but i want their stats and costs to be as they are (except rifles and IS which are punching above their cost). This change i propose to make them less vulnerable to explosives and reduce rng effects. In: COH2 Balance

Either way, squads seldomly take out MG's while they're suppressed with just their small arms. From my experience, I mostly see people just toss grenades when they're suppressed and wipe out a MG team. I do all the time and it happens to me as well. It's just something to be expected. Add in smoke and abilities into this mix and yep. Better hope your enemy has no munitions. But this game already is suffering major design problems. I mean, why in the world did Relic give mainline infantry smoke AND flamethrowers or grenades that can be flung as far as even MG's can reach? That's the real question. They do it often enough with lmgs and vet. Not one on one but any higher and they can wipe before pinning occurs in the late game due to gunner sniping. True, rifle smoke should mirror shock smoke. Anymore buffs to it and it's going to be a camp fest of people just trying to mortar or arty the MG's because all their units will be instant pinned the moment they try to do anything. (Emphasis mine) Instapin would happen if units got suppressed faster. Which is not what I meant. I meant that suppression should be slightly stronger but not any faster than its is. In: COH2 Gameplay
