for USF it's the AA HT vet 1 AA ability that shoots down planes 100% of the time.
For OKW its the 251/17 flak halftrack that shoots down aircraft 100% of the time
For ostheer it's either the 222 or the ostwind, both of which are not particuraly effective but they do shot down planes fairly frequently.
For soviets, it's being shoehorned into T3 , which means no good tanks, no good artillery, and generally a very terrible tier. |
I remember when conscripts with PPSH could fight LMG grenadiers.
I remember when the t-34/76 was useful (((((
I remember when the game wasn't all about a-moving LMG units every game (((((( |
So, this is what i've been experiencing quite ofter after this patch.
Sometimes, for no apparent reason, when i get a game, THE game starts loading INCREDIBLY slowly.
When it finally loads, IT either gives me a defeat screen or a victory screen and says that all players dropped.
The defeat or victory screen means pretty mcuh nothing as i've gotten the defeat screen and actually the game counted that as a win.
Have i discovered a way to drophack or WTF is this?
The game itself runs very fine, i have no performance issues and this weird loading only starting happening after this patch. |
I think mg 42 and maybe all other MGs except kubel should get a buff to suppresion when units are in green cover. |
Buddy, the only one indoctrinated here is you. I am just being realistic. And:
1. Assuming that someone won the war because it was better than his opponent it's just childish. You probably have like 18 years at most and you built your history knowllege on 2 penny sites like the one you quoted instead reading history books, studying technical features of allied and Axis tanks, or waching some serious documentary films on Discovery based on FACTS, statistics and historical documentation;
2. Every sensible and unbiased man in this world knows that Allied won the war because they had the superior manpower and resources, being able to flood any front with 10 times more men and equipment.
3. Everybody, including me, are happy that they did so and appreciate the sacrifice of so many Allied soldiers, because of that we are living in a free world (at least a good part of it). But even so, our eyes must stay open and our judgement must not be altered by stupid stereotypes issued from Clint Eastwoold's movies where one american officer would kill 50 germans soldiers with his thumb. Wehrmacht was a splendid army, excellent trained and equiped, best army of its time. UNFORTUNATELLY in THE MOST WRONG HANDS, but this does not mean we cannot admire its tactics and equipment and recognize its superiority. Even the uniforms were looking verry good (how could they look bad, while designed by one of the most famous italian cloths designer which is famous even today?!)
To @Burts: I reccomend to you the Discovery documentary movie "Tanks!". There is a part of the info and there you will have the comparison between the number of Allied and Axis tanks destroyed on every front, together with some technical facts. You will be surprised of what you will find out. Knowing the fact that all these documentary films are done by former "Allied" we can't suspect them of speaking in Axis' favor, on the contrary. So make your judgement.
If that is where you got your source, then either that documentary is full of shit or you horribly misunderstood it.
And it's very easy to just throw all the blame to Hitler because HE was the reason the soviets ended up wawing their flag in Berlin, Everyone ELSE and everything was perfect!
Nobody here is stereotyped by Clints Eastwoods or whatever where 1 american kills 100 germans, except you who seems to be stereotyped by 1 german killing 100 soviets or whatever.

What the fuck is this x t-34 or shermans to take down a tiger?
Where does this statistic even come from, it is backed up by no historical basis whatsoever and is just pure fantasy.
The permament airstrikes or 10 fuel shermans is also pure nonsense.
Rocket strafes were actually incredibly inneficent againts tanks, only 8% of the rockets actually ever hit the tank, alot of tanks were knocked out because during a strafing attack, crews would often jump out of the tank and get annihilated by the rockets, in the tank itself, it was pretty safe and the chance of getting destoyed by a rocket is fairly low.

Elchino (for some reason quote did not work)
You should play men of war red tide or any men of war game on hard difficulty levels.
That game is *really* hard.
And when i mean hard, prepare to frontally assault a heavily defended with tanks mortars and artillery enemy position across an open field with 10 guys and 1 armored car, then also resist mulitple counterattacks with those same 10 guys and 1 armored car |
Well, relic has done incredibly difficult missions in the past, and all it should take to make the campaign incredibly hard is to move the AI difficulty level from hard to expert.
As a former men of war singleplayer player, i am used to playing the same mission for weeks for +20 hours only to realize that i fucked up and there is no way for me to progress and restart the whole thing |
I'f we are speaking about real life, then the jackson was fairly well armored for it's role.
It had a very strong 114mm worth of sloped armor on the lower glacis, granted, most shots did not hit there. It had 60mm worth of sloped armor on the upper glacis, more than the t-34 t-34/85 or PIV. I believe it was around the same effectivenness of the unsloped 100mm armor on the tiger, perhaps slightly less.
On the turret it had 75mm worth of spaced armor on the turret mantlet, which was fairly well armored.
It's 90mm gun with AP rounds was considerably inferior in terms of penetration to the panthers 75mm gun, however, if HVAP rounds were used, it's penetration would outclass the panther and be more on par with the IS-2s main gun in terms of penetration.
The jacksons open turret allowed it to have great vision compared to other tanks, which for some reason IS not reflected in the game, while it is somewhat of a disadvantage as the crew are very valnurable (sometimes).
Overall this is the exact reason why the US army did not really feel the pershing was needed. And when they did have the pershing, it faced the EXACT same problems as they thought it would have. It sruggled to keep up with the rest of the army, and generally just put a considerable strain on logistics while not accomplishing much else.
If you would want to reflect the jackson realistically in game it would probaly be something like this
180-200 penetration (vs 160-200 that is now)
640 hp and 200 armor (480 and 130 now)
160 damage on penetration ( vs 240 damage now)
(HVAP rounds at vet 0)
Sight range to 60 (effectivelly making it able to spot for itself) |
They are indeed pretty ridiciluos as they make the 0.50 cal and to a lesser extent the maxim extremelly easy to wipe as 2 riflegrenades will reliable wipe the maxim and 0.50 cal. |
