Coh 2 > couch MVGame |
Cons are fine. |
My most amazing coh 2 story happened quite recently, where i was playing againts panzergrenadier angreifein (very good top wehrmacht player, or atleast he used to be) and the situation was that i was winning the early game with conscripts, but later on he got a stug E. I got a t-34/76 to counter the STUG E. I set up a flank, and begin flanking his stug E. Just as i start flanking, the game freezes and says "connection lost recconecting". This goes on for like 30 seconds or so. Eventually it recconects, and everything he has is dead. STUG E dead, PaK dead, grens dead and my t-34 is still alive somehow. Guess that flank was so good didin't even need any input for 30 seconds to suceed |
I'll ask u again,WHAT DO OST HAVE THE BEST OF?
katitof u can sub in for him and answer instead, since u have taken it upon urself to manage my tears.
Best non doctrinal mortar in the game, best anti tank gun in the game, best all round heavy tank in the game (tiger I), very good well scaling infantry, and arguably the best MG in the game.
No matter what you will say, the mg-42 is way better than the 0.50 cal which is squishy as hell, the maxim which gets oneshotted by riflegrenades all the time, the mg-34 considering OKW MP bleed is probaly better than the mg-42, but statwise the mg-42 is superior.
Of course that's ignoring the obvious things like the best anti infantry tank in the game for its cost (STUG E), the best anti tank strafe and of course the CAS support commander. |
4949 ambulances exploded. |
I expect the british army to be a part of USF in coh 2. Some british commander abilities and that's it.
Why do i think this? Notice it only says "british commander pack" it the game files, along with OKW, Soviet, Wehrmacht and USF commander packs.
There is no 3rd axis faction mentioned. And having 3 allied factions but only 2 axis factions while plausible, i dont think its going to happen. |
At Guns take out schwerer HQ with attack ground 100 % you don't need a spotter.
You can use two combat engineers + a mortar. Or you can use a decoy tank and two engineers. So or so it's the T4 building and shouldn't be taken out easily when placed defensive. 120 munitions is a pretty cheap price to destroy that building, but you fail to see that.
You can use a sherman tank (smoke) + paratroopers, major artillery, assault engineers. It's easy to take out that building, therefore it was buffed after WFA was released.
The problem is that the vanilla factions have no teching features. USF get free squads, OKW get's utility buildings. Rather than nerfing the new factions, the old factions could need some love.
Using AT guns to take out shwerer panzer HQ with ground attack is very risky, and also very unreliable. Since alot of maps have alot of random terrain bumps and differences in height, unless you can see the shwerer panzer HQ, it will often hit the ground.
More so, obers will very easily wipe an at gun from the front due to AT gun cover being bugged right now, basically AT gun cover right now does not apply from the front, but only to the sides of the at gun.
Now of course, vet 1 USF at gun ability gives the AT gun 70 range and also 70 field of vision, while smart use of a t-70 + zis-3 can indeed destroy a shwerer panzer HQ. However, this is not easy to coordinate and like i said, can very easily backfire and is a huge risk. |
Balancing isn't A patch A OP, B patch B OP, but it's Relic logic anyway.
I won't give a shit to OKW anymore, because next patch they are unplayable.
Come on dude, even if it were THAT BAD (which it is not), they still have a good 2 weeks to balance it out. |
Eh, casualties. Somenbjorn has already addressed a few important aspects, so just some quick points: Soviet KIA/DOW (died of wounds, ie. expired while already undergoing treatment outside the zone of frontline fighting or as longterm consequence of injury) exceeded Axis KIA/DOW by quite a magnitude, even though the precise relationship is for numerous reasons difficult to establish - data sets are not necessarily comparable and incomplete, etc.. David Glantz estimates about 14 million Soviet military dead (this includes deaths in captivity) throughout WW2, so including the far Eastern theate, while the upper end of Axis fatalities is estimated at about 5,5 million IIRC. Again, these are the high estimates, but there is alot of work still ongoing, for an introduction into these issues look for the works of Krivosheev/Overmans, which, while both severely flawed and outdated, contain alot of the datasets and serve as the basis most contemporary research at least references.
As far as casualty recording procedures are concerned, a few things as an adjunct:
- Germans did record any sort of wound and included them in their casualty figures, they however usually seperately recorded those who could stay with their units and those who required care at a hospital.
- Germans had seperate categories for DOW and KIA in their Heeresartz reporting
- Soviet reporting system basically collapsed in 1941, there is also little to no data available on the German side for 1945
Doesn't Glantz state that axis suffered 11 million irrecoverable casaulties as well? Both numbers seem to be very high.... |
terrible changes. |
