Durability wise, they are almost as durable as 6 grens againts small arms.
Considering 4 gren models cost 240, 6 grens would cost 360.
Surely the best LMG in the game + booby traps + 2 very strong grenades makes up for that 40mp cost right? |

Consider that the M20 and the 222 Armored Car hit at about the same time (50+20 fuel, 45 + 15 + 15 fuel). An upgunned 222 is more than capable of knocking the M20 out and fending off would be sniper hunting.
It's hard to aggressively tech to the 222 in a 1v1. The map can make it impossible. In 2v2s and above though you can get a 222 out at the same time as the USF player very reliably. Panzerfaust is much better than the Riflemen AT grenade so your infantry support gives you a good edge in the light vehicle war.
Heh. That being said I don't think we'll see people sacrifice squads for a little bonus sight range. It'll just be an advantage for pioneer replacements on team weapons for both the MG42 and the Pak40.
Also, accuracy has no effect on suppression. The MG42 should not suppress any better after this patch. Just kill more dudes.
Can you confirm that the PTRS changes are listed correctly in the patch notes? If that is the case, then gaurds will be insanely strong |

I like the gaurd PTRS change. Infact the gaurd PTRS is now the highest dealing soviet small arm at long range, and has the best accuracy at all ranges too againts infantry MVGame. These gaurds definately have some pretty good training, since they now have over 500% accuracy againts a kubel. PTRS will no longer *ever* miss tanks.
Nice ostheer changes. People dont seem to understand that the mg-42 buff was quite big. So was the sniper buff. Infact, the wehrmacht sniper has now almost the same health as the soviet one! Wehr sniper = 82 HP, sov sniper 48 x 2 = 96.
Pioneers sight range will be very useful.

Comparing zis-3 and pak-40 in terms of penetration is futile because the ZIS-3 WAS NEVER AN ANTI TANK PIECE IN THE FIRST PLACE. It was an artillery piece, like the pak howitzer or LEIG. Except that it was superior to both of these designs, because it could also double as a decent anti tank gun.
Soviets did have a real AT gun. It was called the zis-2 57mm. That gun was just as good, if not better, than the pak 40. |

The panther itself is perfectly fine. Infact for ostheer its a bit too hard to get. But the OKW panther is overperforming.
Why? Due to the retarded combat blitz which makes it so easy to escape danger with it.
