Don´t act dumb here. That´s a problem of those units.
The Tiger as a whole was a liability since it was limited to one unit at a time. It´s no secret it went down way faster than an IS-2.
The range increase changes how the unit is going to be used. And that way of usage that´s encouraged is infact realistic and a new strategy.
Well, either buff the IS-2 or revert the tiger changes. Theres absolutely no reason the tiger should be once again superior to the IS-2 in pretty much every way.
The heavy balance was completely fine pre patch, i have no idea why they decided to start fiddling around with it. |
I disagree. The Tiger buff is great. It´s going down within seconds to AT and especially the British. Now there´s a reason again to go for Tigers and instead of mirroring an IS-2, they gave it range. That opens up for some great new playstyles.
Also a Tiger that needs to be used at range is quite realistic. I also like that. Improves the immersion of the game. Or to put it into game terms: Having a Tiger firing from far range is more fun and less silly than it always rushing a position to catch targets. TDs still have a range advantage over it, you just have to use them smartly now.
Can´t wait to kick some ass with it on veterancy 2 with 20% increased range.
Ah yes, tiger having more penetration than IS-2 and more range than king tiger so realistic, much wow. All heavies should have the same range. I foresee the IS-2/KT also getting the range buff since the pershing is going to have 50 range. |

I honestly dont think heavies need a buff. But yes, if the tiger gets buffed, so should the IS-2 (KT should probably be reworked).
IMO this is how the heavy tanks should be
tiger, 45 range, 200/220/240 pen (same as now) 160 damage 300 armor
IS-2 45 range 200 damage with 8 second reload pen 200/240/260 375 armor
KT 160 damage, 50 range 280/300/320 pen 400 armor |
The two guys below you for starters.
If the intention was to make it better vs the IS-2 the penetration would have been just fine. The range buff made it better vs everything else which is completely unnecessary.
Even without the range buff, the pen buff alone will make the tiger beat the is-2, while the tiger is also way better againts infantry than the is-2. I dont know why the hell they decided to touch on the heavy tank balance again when nobody asked for it.
I mean come on, the tiger now has the same penetration than the king tiger AND has more range than the king tiger... While also being 19 pop while the KT is 26 pop. |
Well the tiger buff was completely random and unnesecarry. Now it has more range than the king tiger or is2 and outclasses the is2 in pretty much every way. Has better armor pen faster RoF. and more range and is way better againts inf. Only thing is2 has now is more durability but that's. Hardly an advantage when you have better axis at.. |
Are you guys seriously saying this is a bad thing??
Riflemen were always supposed to be the best starting and scaling infantry. Period. And they have NOT been until now.
Only soviet conscripts are worse;and Guards have scaled better than rifles for the entirety of USF's existence.
And they are JUST now getting to that point of being as advertised, and before we even play one game live of this change,we're already calling for nerfs?
I mean ffs,Really? burts was most definitely trolling when he made this,im pretty sure as well.
Nobody is saying this is a bad change. Only suggesting is is a slight overbuff. |
I love it. Keep it how it is.
Have you actually tried it though? At vet 3 rifles now have 0.56 received accuracy, that is an insane bonus.
This essentially makes them the most durable squad in the game at vet 3... I mean with the current command tank meta where LMG 42 grens just wreck everything due to the 20% damage reduction bonus its fine, but that shit is OP too.. |
Hello. So in the balance preview mod relic has rightfully given rifles the scaling buff they well deserve.
However, i think that 25% received accuracy on vet 3 is way, way too much.
Given that rifles have 0.97 received accuracy on vet 1, get 0.77 at vet 2 and now 0.75% at vet 3, rifles become insanely durable because of this, effectivelly being as durable as the old pre nerf volksgrenadiers.
In my opinion, a ~15% received accuracy would be enough. |
grens are fine
They are fine, however they are currently bugged because the 9% received accuracy modifier and 15% accuracy increase is applied TWO times. |
Currently, due to a mistake by relic grenadiers get the 0.91 received accuracy and 15% accuracy squad bonus applied to them two times. This puts them at 82% received accuracy and makes them 15% more accurate than they should be, or were in the last patch.
This significantly screws with the early con/gren/rifle balance and in my opinion needs to be hotfixed. |
