Thread: 2 new USF commanders (ideas)25 Mar 2015, 13:52 PM
I have two dreams for USF doctrines. One with Pershing, and the second with air forces, with ability to "load" a fighter for let's say 100-150ammo so it will shoot down any plane that comes in if loaded before. It might take down cheap recon or expensive strafe. Such Anti-air ability would be amazing. Pershing is possible but I think Relic won't figure out fighter idea By the way, Hellcat's range? cause another damn fragile, 45range unit won't get place in meta. In: Lobby |

Yeah I figured taking vet 3 mortar was a bad choice but I was curious how he would work. Wasn't too bad until I lost him like a shmuck. Stuka dive bomb will wreck it. Your teammate had fragmentation bomb which is useful as well. Of course you won't destroy it, but you will decrew it which means no vet. One of you could also go for 222. No at nades till 11min or AT gun. Pure paradise for 222 with upgrade. Combine vetted 222 with Jaeger doctrine scope and you have amazing spotter, stuka dive bomb to counter B4 and Elephant to punish IS2. |
Thread: Incidental arty (Shock Frontline Doc)25 Mar 2015, 11:06 AM
Hard counters are easy to use and if you want one, take Elephant. Soft counters require basic skills, they are not braindead. Tiger, Panther or Jadgpanzer are soft counters agasint IS2. If you are afraid of incendiary strike, keep Paks separeted so only 1 will be in range. By the way it would be nice to show us replay of a game where it was hurting you so much In: Scrap Yard |
Thread: Tips needed25 Mar 2015, 10:45 AM
OK so let's do it (sorry I could not do it yesterday). First of all, why did you sacrafice so many resources to get vet 3 mortar? Vet 3 won't provide you homing missles. It would be better to get 2 mortars instead of 1 with vet 3. You lost vet3 Grens very poorly. T70 can wipe on the retreat so you should faust it first, then retreat. You were not dealing enough damage with Grens. 6 Grens with G43 and vetted with Elite Troops did 5k dmg vs infantry. Your teammates' 3 Grens did 4,6k dmg and enemy's 6 Cons did 5k as well. That's why you had 10CPs while everyone else had 13CPs. I belive it's micro issue combined with bad decisions where to push and keeping Grens separeted. 1-2 Grens won't stop 4 Cons. And that's why Tiger Ace came too late. You also lost vet 3 mortar very easily. You just left it at the frontline without any help. You could get additional PzIV instead of vet 3 mortar and Grens. But the most important thing, you were not prepared for B4. Very bad commander choice. You or your teammate should wait to see what doctrine enemy will choose and choose your own to counter it. B4 was just raping you. You used PzIV and Tigers very inefficiently. You lost 2 Tiger and 2 PzIV while you killed only one T70. There was a moment when IS2 was raping middle VP and it took you a minute to move there Paks. You should do it faster. Overall, I have a feeling that you did very well in early-mid game but once you got many units, battle was chaotic, many things were happening, you ve lost yourself a bit. To many things, to many places to attack, too many places to react. I belive it is micro issue and you will get over it but you need time. Also try use hotkeys to move units easier. |
Thread: Real Talk: Panther24 Mar 2015, 19:01 PM
Well, no one said it's easy in 1v1 in late-game as USF. That's true. Once Panther is on the field, Jacksons can do only one thing - keep it at distance. You can't rush with them to finish it, that's obvious. If OKW loses Panther 8/10 cases it because misteake, not because of good USF counters. All USF must do is to pray for good AT mine or somekind of misteake. But like I said, it's not the problem with Panther. It's rather lack of late-game options for USF (Pershing / Super Pershing ) And about the armor, it has to have better front armor than Tiger. In: Lobby |
Thread: Real Talk: Panther24 Mar 2015, 18:33 PM
Im more afraid on Obers than Panther. I mean, Obers are best infantry. No other can stand agasint them, unless you surprise them with Shocks/Paras around the corner but that's unlikely. Vetted Obers with STGs are just unstoppable. Best unit in game. Vet 3 Shocks? Vet 3 Paras? That's cute Panther vetted or not still has its counters. SU or Jackson can keep Panther at distance, IS2 can run over it, ISU can snipe it. Panther is fine. It's blitz and smoke which make it perfect instead of fine. In: Lobby |

Obers have no counter in infantry. Sometimes Paras or Shocks can do it, but its very situational. Panther can be countered by vehicles. That's the difference. E8 should be no match for a Panther, which is fine. 85 is already very good counter against Panthers. I can post you a replays where 2 SU85s are killing Panthers Same for Jackson. Sometimes you get bad RNG when shells are bouncing, but in the end with good micro, Jackson can do the job against Panther. Nerfing Panther is not a way out. You should buff counters. In: Lobby |
Thread: Real Talk: Panther24 Mar 2015, 17:35 PM
Im not sure about one thing... Are you expecting T34/76 or Shermans to fight Panther? It's like expecting IS2 to fight Elephnat. Panther is made to kill tanks. Of course 2 T34/76 or E8 can kill but only when Panther user is braindead. Point is, Panther should melt medium tanks and should be quite useful against heavy units. There is a reason why Panther was the best WW2 tank. The only OP thing I can find about Panther is blitz and smoke. Great armor + great speed + blitz + smoke. Such combinations leaves you a great hole for misteakes but it's a problem of all axis heavies, not just Panther. In: Lobby |
