Yeah no, I've climbed the ladder to rank 22 strictly from blobbing ptrs conscripts over 30 games, just to see if I could. You can't do this shit with only lmg gren spamming. Lmg grens can't blow up machine guns from the front in green cover. I'm not an amazing player, I shouldn't be able to do this. OPtrs is horseshit. You're not using them right. Ptrs removes the need for combined arms. All I do is build 8 scripts and 3 t34/76s on average.
Cheese and bullshit > skill.
You are little unfair cause later (after another XX replays) I said it's too strong and should be much more expensive or ptrs should be nerfed for cons. |
Stepping aside from the nerf which KT did not need in fact (Jackson buff), or down do 400, I see double stanrads here. I mean, 375 armor unit cannot be used to break line becasue it's too weak but IS2 with same armor is very good at breaking lines? |
I'm still wondering what qualifies you to be a strategist.
The core issue with this commander is the redistribute ressources, it is what allows you to call the planes whenever you want, given they are not on cooldown. It's also what allows you to spam everything muni reliant.
So are you denying that in team games cas is double win cause of mass crashes or that on certain maps is undodgeable? |
It should be ZiS on wheels with ZiS' penetration and free barrage (just increase penetration and SU is ready) or make it AI vehicle with better AoE (something worse than Scott but still useful). |
CAS is fine mostly but there are 3 things around the CAS which make it OP.
1. Plane crashed due to AA unit. AA unit should counter planes, that's obvious. Right now, AA will sjot down planes (mostly after strafe) and the plane will fall down at your side. Double win for Axis. In team games you can get over 20 crashes. Once I lost more unit due to crashes than to my opponent.
2. Some maps, where battlefront is close to the edge, make CAS completly undodgeable. 2,5-3s since fist flare, which means you must be freaking machine or you must doing nothing, only watching your Scott. 3s is way to fast. You cant dodge it. Rails and Metal is the worst here.
3. Spaming planes in 4v4. When you are facing at least 2 players with CAS, and you see planes every 15sec, you can't do nothing. For example. You are trying to flank with army, but you have 2 retreating units to the base and Priest/Katy behind the lines. All the time you see planes. You have to sacrafice micro attack to check your Priest or units in base if they are target for planes. It means your attack is lacking micro, you need look behind the line all the time. Allies (USF) already need intensive micro. With planes everywhere it's just freaking micro.
The most freaking thing was when I had 4 units healing in the base. I heard Stuka dive bomb so I moved them. I dodged this bomb but there were 3 more (2x CAS, 2x Jaeger Armor) in case if I moved hehe... 4 squads vanished. Very low chances to dodge.

AA truck when set down is best AA I belive. Problem is, it's turing planes into kamikaze planes just after strafe wich makes them even more deadly. Strafe and then crash at your side.
It's fine when you have XXX muni Stuka 12 CP. It's horrible when you XX muni planes everywhere. |
anti infantry strafe, if done right will AOE suppress surrounding units as far as 25m away. it's not a matter of blobbing or not.
anti tank strafe takes minimum of 4 seconds to about 6 seconds for its payload to hit. with tank's accelerations in mind, you have about 3-4 seconds to move your tank or anything like t34/76 will die most of the time. the trick is to move when they are reconing.
dive bomb completely nullifies ml20 and b4. which is kinda lame.
to not have any tanks literally means you have been spamming air strikes like motherf-er. its not hard to balance between these cheese strikes and getting tanks.
i think this commander's cheeseness start from 2v2, but it is defintely cheese in 3v3+
That's true but not always, it depends what map it is.
Rails and Metal (Steel? whatever...).
If you have for example Scott close to left/right edge of the map and OST player is using strafe so it comes from this close side, you have literally 2secs to move cause with 2,5-3s strafe starts hitting. And what does it mean? It means you just can get out unless you are fraking robot that will move Scott with the first red flare (there are 3 or 4 one by one). Undodgeable. |
RNG is amazing feature. No doubt about it. If it was pure math it would be boring. Bouncing shells are fine until one point. If you have almost dead unit, you must have options to chance it and finish. Not all faction can do that.
Mortar with line of code that says it must hit something with every third shells - boring. That's why some kined of RNG is needed.
Plane crashes are fine. 1-2 per game. Chances to hit you? Very low but in you are playing agasit 2 OST with CAS and you have AA unit which in fact is helping your opponents - making every plane, after strafe, kamikaze is just horrbile. It leads to 20-30 crashes per game and 80% of them are on your side.
There is no consent for 10-30 crashes per game. Once I had 4v4 where I lost more units due to plane crashes than to my enemy.
(I havent noticed plane crashes for the first 1100h, until everyone starts to spam CAS so I would say it's CAS problem not the plane itself). |

Guards PTRS is in a good spot right now. They are an expensive squad that will never be your mainline infantry.
Conscripts' PTRS is the problem. They are your first unit, and people will make a minimum of 3 of them in 1v1s. Conscripts are cheap enough to be spammed, and with hoorah they can close the distance to enemy squads and take advantage of the PTRS's 60% accuracy.
Conscript PTRS needs to become a lot less accurate to show how they are not elite troops, just fresh conscripts. Setting accuracy to about 50% (maybe more) for conscripts ONLY would make the PTRS balanced.
I haven't had the chance to mess with partisans yet, but I think that they should be fine since they are a 270mp squad that is much easier to deal with.
