The way Relic releases information regarding new content, patches, etc. can be confusing, frustrating, or, in the case of Twitch, lengthy.
When I look at War Thunder, I see written articles about new content, screenshots, in-depth scientific explanations, upcoming balance changes, etc.
Relic should do the same thing, where applicable. Releasing the patch notes is definitely a good thing, but having an article written by a balance manager, Qduffy, whoever at Relic explaining, in general some of the changes being made would be a good step towards people understanding some things. They could explain things like AoE, how cooldown, reload, and ready aim time interact, etc.
They don't have to release screenshots of shit, but an hour long twitch stream where one of the devs plays an absolute shit mod is frustrating.
The occasional blog post, Twitch stream, or whatever is frustratingly not easy to get information quickly or regularly.
Hell, I'd read a monthly update about Relic staff making jokes around the office, but so long as its on some sort of regular schedule not just 'whenever SEGA tells us we can release info and we have something that can be displayed visually'. |
