Aside from micro and macro issues, i.e. losing squads by not paying attention, not setting up MG quick enough, floating 400mp and truck being out of position to set up, I think the ISG was a bad choice. Its not going to do much against 3 maxims already out on the field, at least not in the time you want it to. As a later investment, yes its worth buying.

If a sov player is maxim spamming, its safer to get a flak HT out and drive the maxims off that way. Its also a hard counter to the shocks. Against con spam it would be a risky move since AT nades will take them out in no time. Yes a zis will eventually come but not before you drive off 1 or 2 maxims, after that point, your infantry would be safe to move up and see any incoming Zis's and micro your flak HT around that. Against heavy T2, Stuka is also amazing, but I wouldn't get that as a first build, after if you get some AT in the form of shrecks/puma/raketen it would be a good choice. After that I would strive for Obers for AI and end game AT would either by a jagdp4 or panther.

I've not played OKW as much as sov or USF but I've played against them enough to know what works

1. What role would the pershing serve? A carbon copy re-skin of the IS-2? It would need a similarly high fuel req of 250-300 to offset the effectiveness of existing USF tanks.

USF's existing T4 is already extremely effective, although it does take more effort in micro to keep the fragile tanks alive.

2. Eh don't know about this, I don't see multiple officer squads being a necessity at all. What the faction does need is more variety options in the early game that isn't limited to doctrine (assault engies/wc51)rather than 3-4 rifle openings all the time.

3. Thompsons racks being available I don't see being that bad. Rifles have no gap closers (aside from rifle smoke grenades) giving OST/OKW squads plenty of time to respond, they also aren't that effective as people may think. Lieutenant and captain models have their own special thompson that does more damage than say paratrooper thompsons. My experience with thompson paratroopers is that you have to keep them still and in pecker distance to do any serious damage. They are definitely not as effective as a shocktrooper squad on the move.

*sigh* at that response to no new news of observer mode. I guess the one question I was hoping that was asked and answered is "What are you currently working on now?"

Optimization, bug fixing and game balance are always on going things but I wish they were more transparent about actual features or content they are working on NOW. The question about new WFA commanders was answered, that there was no news about new commanders. So what are you working on? Campaign? New maps? CoH3? DoW3? New IP?
