And you are wrong to say that it's AA abilities being lacking means there is no reason to build it forwards. It is very potent at killing infantry + light vehicles, and can solo a Sherman tank. If it also reliably countered Recon planes and air-call ins, it would be overpowered as heck. It's already common to see this truck in team games. You basically always get one, or sometimes two of them in a 2v2. They are plenty strong as is, thank you very much. In: COH2 Balance

Plenty of people complained about it previously, along with the Panzerwerfer. Both vehicles in their previous state were underperforming. Katyusha is (according to the forums) now overperforming. However to set it back to where it was before would be a poor decision. We can only hope they give a modest buff to the Pzwerfer soon to help make T4 more viable. In: COH2 Balance

The problem with choosing anything less than perfection is that there will be situations where no matter how well you play you will lose because there is now a ceiling on how well you can do. Once you have a good baseline balance sorted out though, you can divert full attention on broadening the wiggle room (that's a great way to describe it) instead of dividing resources between the two. Nobody plays perfectly, not even the top 1v1 players. But balancing the game to be competitive for the top 100 1v1 players may satisfy the most hardcore people, but will ultimately be leaving the majority of players out in the cold, by definition. Theoretically, if Wehr was the strongest 1v1, but it required far more skill to use to its fullest (because it's micro intensive or whatever), I would not consider that a balanced game. The mid-tier Wehr players need more love. To try and satisfy both you would need a substantial alteration to the balance, buffing and nerfing across the board to try and make things more consistent. I don't believe it's as simple as nailing the balance in one tier of play, then slowly getting each other to fall into line, because changes to one group will inevitably have an impact on the others. It's like one of those puzzles where you have to make all the things line up, but you can't just move one thing at a time, you have to move multiple ones. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Repair Criticle is such bs30 Jul 2014, 03:12 AM Yeah I had an E8 capped by fallschirms the other day. First time it ever happened, but I felt like such a bonehead lol. Someone used the airborne assault ability, flares show up on my forward HQ and I instinctively drag-select and RETREAT everything. Except I forgot to put the crew back in the tank first. So the Falschirms dropped next to the empty tank, and all my other stuff was hiking back to HQ sector. D'OH. In: COH2 Gameplay
