After three or four games, there is a high likelihood of vehicles appearing as glossy pink. |
One of the commanders has an AT Infantry Section you can call in for 300MP. That can help deter the 222 and Puma.
With the snipers, I agree. I was watching the game where you put your sniper in medium cover (a bush) and with hold fire. You attempted to bait their sniper but all the while they knew you were there because the Scotsman wasn't camouflaged. |
There is no announcer for when a Churchill infantry tank finishes building. |
The menu is capped at 30 FPS and makes it appear laggier than it really is. I know about disabling the background movies.
I've posted on this before, but after the limited free trial I have a theory. During the trial the menu was a lot snappier. I can't remember if it was above 30 or not, but something was different. Perhaps Relic uses a test build that has the snappier menu and never notices the live game's one feels really laggy. |
I just recognised the sound bug but all I heard was a bit of static that didn't hurt me. Thanks a lot for the program! |
The various types of helpers that spawn with medic bunkers, special capture points, repair stations, trucks, etc. When they are killed, how long does it take for them to respawn? |
For large games like that as USF you need a prodigious ability to micro. But the biggest problem are the Jacksons. I find that one is fairly easy to handle, but if you have two or more then they frequently get stuck on terrain and on each other. By late (or late-late) game, you simultaneously need at least 3 Jacksons and 2 Scotts (or Shermans, or some other AI), and you have to play a game akin to 'floor is lava' with the multiple roaming shrek blobs and Target Weak Points while all your tanks are spinning on the spot, getting hitched on pebbles. As Soviets, you just get a well-maintained IS2 and your regular other units. While you are doing all that, you must manage your Rifles for capping, smoking, flanking, and dodging grenades.
I think the USF situation in the late stage of large team games could be largely helped by giving Jacksons more maneuverability. |
222
The vet 222 with Scope really is something. Have you tried the vet King Tiger with Spearhead (I think that gives more sight) and the Panzer Commander? That can see almost as far. Then add in the Command Panther buff for either. |
Seeing them placing the mines and zig-zagging through an open field later. |
I was disappointed because each commander was shown to be unique in the Know Your Commanders post, and then "actually, you can't use this, and this, and this, if you 'just' buy the UKF". It's not so bad with Wehrmacht and Soviets as a lot of commanders tend to be useless remixes. I can only hope they go on a very big sale on the first few days, like with the panzergrau and forest skins.
DLC for DLC. I still haven't been able to use the WC51 car, so I can hardly count on War Spoils. |
