I had to lower detail from medium to low (or minimum if it is a snowy map) after WFA released.
The menu was smooth in the beta but it seems they capped the framerate in it for some reason. |
It fits the idea that they are a mix of veterans and recruits. "I'm going over to that squad (5 stars), they look like they know what they're doing." |
set up time is ok for me, but give it twice as much pack up time. that way maxims can be flanked
I mean the amount of suppression it gives out once set up. Different from the set up time.
What? Maxim is fine as it is, i never hear something bad about MG42
I can guess where this is going but I would like the topic to not be about whether I am Soviet or German. I would rather see feedback on this idea I had which incidentally involves a change to one of the factions and not to the others. |
Maxims could have about 2-3 seconds of time after setting up where suppression ramps up from very low to the default value. This may make it so offensive pushes with just maxims are harder but they are still valuable support weapons. |
A lot of vehicles used to drive ahead before reversing and I thought this was changed in a patch. But now it's back again. |
Mainly it is overcoming the unit's weakness(es) by simply making more of that unit. So that the weakness(es) are still stronger than what is meant to exploit them. For example, a rifleman gets suppressed by an MG. But if the player keeps building riflemen, you can say that the MG got spammed when it fails to stop them. It can be argued that this is how it should happen, and personally I think it is a tactic that should not be seen as poor sportsmanship. If spam is the best option, then, since it's a strategy game, it should be done. It's up to the game mechanics to encourage different types of gameplay, for example making combined arms more valuable than just many arms. |
In addition to the vetoes, select one map you would most like to play on. If two players prefer that map, that is the one that will be played. If one prefers it and the other hasn't selected one then the preferred is played. Maybe you could veto the preferred map choice of the other player instead of selecting one yourself. If no players select a map then it goes as it does now. |
If you click on an invite without the game running, the invite starts the game but does not join the lobby. At this point, the lobby leader has to send a second invite.
Also, a suggestion. There are icons to tell whether a player is still in a game or viewing match stats. It would be good to have a notification appear on the invite-sender's screen if an invite-recipient is currently in a game. If you receive an invite during a match, out of politeness you may want to open the Steam overlay to respond that you cannot join. But this interrupts what you were doing. |
I have had this happen with a couple of molotovs. No animation after a few seconds so I move and try again but the cooldown has triggered and, presumably, munitions have been spent. What happened to this mysterious molotov, that was bought but did not show in battle? |
I'd be really interested in watching the replay if you post it. |
