A mistake with your SU-85/ T34-76 or IS-2(!)... Not sure you will keep it alive. While smoke is doctrinal, blitz only works without damaged engine, what should be first thing you aim for as soviet fighting a panther. if engine is crippled, even heavy armor does not help too much, as su-85s or zis can just fire at it withput fear of getting circled and by the way, su-85 and zis get tracking to hunt down damaged panthers, just use your abilities right, then nothing is invulnerable... Thread: What is up with the pzkpfw V Panther ?21 Jan 2014, 21:57 PM Biggest weakness of Panther is that you can walk around it with your cons or guards without having to fear many losses. Just at-nade or button it and one pak can do serious damage. since cons scale better into late game than grens, you should have some vetted cons around the field, with their at-nade range increased by vet, you just have them around viable areas and that way you can repell panthers. Why shouldnt soviets be forced to use combined arms to beat a german unit? ostheer needs to do that all the time! In: COH2 Balance

In addition, the FHT range is the same as the AT nade so how can I use it to kill conscripts without automatically getting hit by AT nades? After nerfs I have found that FHT is just not worth the munitions. I think there is a small problem with this unit right now, but I don't want to see it go back to the days of the napalm Mercedes. I don't think arguing that a OP doc makes 1 cp shocks a good idea. I don't own the OP doc so I should just lose because an OP doc exists? Not great logic. +1 In: COH2 Balance

That's still not that big of an issue. The mg can suppress 2 cons, the gren can engage the other 2 with the sniper far back in support. Sure let the sov player OOOraah where he thinks the sniper will be, just micro. He will be hurting from the 3-4 shots the sniper will get on those squads.. Dont think any good soviet player will let 2 cons get supressed by the same MG. He has 4 flexible, moving units, of which you can stop 1 with your mg, 3 to go for your sniper, 1 or two keeping your gren at bay, still one conscript is more than a sniper can handle on its own In: COH2 Balance

If soviet have T1 = no maxim, no mortars, no ZiS. but if soviet player only has 3 snipers to manage, you will have no success with riflegrenade, hes blobbing them and just has to babysitt them. dont see this working. Not saying its impossible, but it is an uphill struggle if they play very aggressive. Thats true, even more, when you are not expecting this strategy and both players go for a normal gren start... then they just poke away with their 2/3 snipers, forcing you to retreat all the time. Scoutcars are no counter because of the guards. Best way to counter might be a sniper of your own, but if you just blindly build a sniper in the beginning and russians use normal conscript-start your not well off either ... (in 2v2s that is) and the shocks just mow down the rest any better ideas than to counter this with your own sniper/ snipers? In: COH2 Balance
