I will list the units with problems again.This time with what being the causes of the problem to clarify my statement
Mg42 -Incapable of doing its job.
Reason -unreliable suppression/turn speed.Bad mobility.No dmg.Ability of enemy to greande it suppressed.Evasion tactics like urrah and smoke added to this.
Sniper - Simply too fragile for its cost when light vehicles are in abundance on allied side and squad sizes also being bigger.
T2 -
Armoured Car - Where to start.Poor damage.Highly fragile.Loses to all its light vehicle competition even with its muni upgrade most of the time.Just shit.
Panzergrenadiers - Not worth 340 mp.Overpriced.Unit itself is not bad,but very costly and enormous reinforcement cost.
FHT - Unable to do its job because it simply comes too late.Teching restriction to t3=dead unit.
T3 -
Stug - Poor penetration.High teching cost.2 shotted by jackson lolz.
Panzer 4 - Incapable.High teching cost.Easily bullied by soviet medium call-ins or E8.Jackson 3 shotted.Not worth 125 fuel plus teching cost with t-34/85 coming in at 10 mp and 5 fuel more.Can be held back easily by couple of bazooka squads for waiting to jackson to arrive.
T4 -Generally u'll never see it ingame.
Brummbaar overpriced -Insane tech cost.Insane unit cost.Not appreciable return.
Panther - Overpriced.Insane tech cost.High unit cost.
Panzerwerfer - Insane teching cost.Dmg and area is joke compared to katyusha despite comparable price.
MG42,Sniper,GD vs RF,222,Panzerwerfer and Brummbar are too bad, but not the worst...

Ostheer has been the weakest faction for long long time,as everyone know. So many usless units and what a shit the high tech cost is.
Just make the BP1 tech-updating more cheaper, just make 251 FHT usefull again. Look at US force. How usefull the M20 and AA halftrack are! The 251's flamethrower updating cost (120 munitions) already limits this unit's performence. Soviet fanboys dont complain, just think about what ostheer can do when they are facing US AA halftrack. That's the same situation. And the AA halftrack dont cost munitions.
And the 222, more HP pls, 240 is ok, the same as the M20. No more.
The ostheer tech cost really needs to be look at. 4 men size squard already makes this faction hard to play, so do something pls RELIC. I like this faction but now I dont want to play as ostheer. OKW is so good while ost is so unplayable. |
I just want to say, US AA track is so effective at Anti-infantry and Anti-air while 251 halftrack is so usless.
Why 251 halftrack needs T2 tech and 120 munitions to unlock flamethrower while US AA track needs nothing? How long time have you not seen a 251 FHT?
And the 222,it needs some HP buff,I think 240 HP is ok. |

At max range, it's a bit luck based. I've shot things with my kat at max range and never killed anything, I usually get my best performance from both of these when I'm move them up a little and get a smaller spread. Werfer feels more manueverable so it seems easier to do that. Also, when a wefer launches, your only hope is to retreat right when you hear it.
I agree that the wefer's placement in the tech tree is a pretty big hinderance. Costs a lot of fuel to just be able to build it. I think when it used to be a lot stronger, it made sense, now I'm not so sure.
No you are wrong. Katyusha can do alot. I can kill 50 soldiers at max range with katyusha. Katyusha is more accurate than werfer. And kat's rockets have tight scatter distance. Reducing the scatter maybe make werfer more effective. |
At the end of the day I feel like just reduceing it's scatter a bit so it doesn't suck as bad at max range might be just the way to go.
Moving it to T3 isen't gonna happen, upping its damage is not gonna happen as well.
I still maintain it should have effectiveness at max range when the kat dose and has higher max range.
Stuka is just better all around, but that's a different discussion.

Well I play both soviet and ostheer. And I can kill 50+ using a Katyusha in a 40 mins match. But I can only kill about 20 models using a werfer in a 50+ minites game generally.
Today I just used werfer, without sight, using the first 3 barrages, it only killed 3 soldiers lol... How bad the werfer is! |
Generally comes too late to be effective given the cost of Ostheer T4 in most games and you're probably then making the first purchase towards the Panther. Some people may say it's better, but you have to drive it up to half its range for the barrage to be effective, preferably with LOS. Good on some maps, not so good on others.

It should hit the field earlier. Katyusha can come out even earlier than a T34/76, while werfer sucks due to the highest tech cost of this game.

If OKW players don't have an artillery flare commander, and the allies have enough AA units, then Axis GG, even the Ost players have 50KG stuka bombing run abilities. |
