Hmm, I only tested it against AI so I don't really know about it being too hard. I would not consider myself skilled at all (I barely played CoH, and when I did it was compstomp), but all I did was place barbwire in front of the foot bridges on the top and a mg bunker infront of the larger bridge, at the bottom I only used an mg bunker. Played against medium AI, but it never actually tried to get a vehicle over the bridge, only infantry and they always got pinned to hell. But I can imagine that 95% of the playerbase could do better lol, I'll take your thoughts in consideration |
Well on my map there is a big river through the middle part with a transition in the middle (vehicles go very slow through that) and 2 footbridges + a larger bridge for vehicles on each side of that transition, so it has 7 places to traverse over the river. However, one side of the transition is easy to defend because all troops have to go through one point, I may add something there though (the map isn't even close to finish). Is that enough (even with these little chokepoints just mentioned), or should I do something about it?

If you wanted the game to be realistic, you'd need to have the Tiger to destroy every T-34 in one hit (in a range of 2km), whereas the T-34 could not penetrate the Tiger's armor until it was in 200m range with a shot into it's side. Just remember, Hitler insisted to have a flak on top of a tank, and the Tiger was a try on that. In fact, the recoil was so brutal, that the crew got told not to fire the gun when the muzzle brake was damaged.
On topic,
I don't think Tiger Aces should be able to be recapped at all.
First, a Tiger Ace is a Tiger Ace because of it's crew, as someone already pointed out.
Second, if you wanted it to be realistic, the crew got told to destroy the Tiger when they leave it, since it was a super weapon, hence it should not fall into enemies hands. Otherwise they would have gotten intel, and they did because some crews failed to issue the order. |
I don't think so, the colors are defined in a .lua file... I'll try some stuff though
Edit: Well putting a modified file in the fitting folder doesn't work, and as CoH doesn't have a console I don't think there is another way besides modding... correct me if I'm wrong |

Sorry for the doublepost, though I really would like some feedback on sector layout etc., since I do not really know what is good or bad in these terms. I'll attach an image with territory markers because MileWideThigh asked for it, however "remove all the bridges" in various threads and suggesting to add a river with bridges in others seems like trolling to me, but I don't know.
