Soviets are easy mode (To top 100 players in 1v1, 2v2 maybe) Germans are hard (Again to top 100 players in 1v1, 2v2 maybe) Learning curve wise I was able to climb alot higher alot faster with my German play in a short amount of time (until hitting better Soviet Players) and my opinion is to newer and mid level players Germans are easier. I mean its easy to reverse out of a bad tech choice for example. Mid to high level play and DOCTRINE/TECH PATH SPECIFIC Soviet become easier to play. 3v3 4v4 Opel Cache Panther Attack Move Profit German. In: COH2 Gameplay

Vs inf you have a better chance of the splash doing real damage but vs tanks that move, even while fausted, trying to hit them with rng isnt reliable. And at 200 mp, you have 1 to 2 shots and then you face muntions drain like all other ost docs. 2 railways will clear a base sector if you are the luckiest person in the world when you use it. Otherwise it will pummel more empty ground then actually hitting structures. I did it to my buddy three times in a Row when the commander first came out. Just to troll him. Its not as inaccurate as you are making it out to be. Its not going to hit anything thats moving at regular speed thats for sure. But an Engine Damaged IS2 simply cant get out of its way. I was LOLing my ass off when I did in game. I was already winning the resource war so I was like lets see if this works hahahaha. Thread: German forces 20 Mar 2014, 21:24 PM My biggest gripe with Germans is just their play style. They are very rigid. Not having OORAH and Molos is painful when dealing with Support Teams of the Size of Soviets. Using the German Support teams feels like using a Soviet sniper without the clown car. They can own like crazy butttt you have to be VERY careful because Charlie is out in the bush with his MOLOTOVS!! On the other hand. Their infantry is so damn good at making things very dead if allowed to have the muni. Like Katitof said unless you pick doctrines that have PPSH or Shocks or Guards your scripts are capper/AT nades and only do damage in Blobs. Then tanks. German armor is fair at the T3 level and pretty straightforward to deal with. But then the Mighty Panther hits the field. And it LOL at any attempt to DARE bring it down. Then Jesus if you start to add vet to it ugh. But thats the Asymetry I suppose. Crappy but easy to keep alive and very mobile infantry and support teams. Versus harder to keep alive face melting infantry and support teams. Then it goes into armor and....well....RAM and Callins baby thats what you got.... In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: German forces 20 Mar 2014, 18:17 PM PPSH makes it very hard for lower skilled German players (like myself) but its hardly unbeatable. Replays help for sure to show exactly what your doing wrong. Elite Forces is good but you have to be careful of what you Vet or just use it for G43s and Panzer Tactician. You dont HAVE to vet units. General Advice for everybody: Learn to micro your HMG once Scripts are suppressed always move it because they are crawling towards you to Molo (If you dont do that already). Also its always good to play as Soviets and see what other players do to beat you. The bane of my Con spamming existance is Mortors well protected behind HMGs just picking away and bleeding my MP. Probably decreasing its AOE damage to avoid squad wiping, and decreasing the fuel cost. About ISU-152 I don't know what to do... that beast is a squad wiper. At least with IS-2 you can retreat before he shoots, can't say the same with Isu-152. I know it's very expensive in fuel and mp but I think it should be reworked. In the overall, tank fights should be reworked. Maybe by limiting the amount of "OP tanks" (Elephant, Isu-152, Kv-2). And by reworking penetration system, armor and damage. Funny you bring this up because I hate to be "That Guy" but the way the ISU152 is modeled in game would be like making an Ostwind act like a T34. How relic goes from the most heavily armored slow short range and durable Anti Bunker assault gun into a long range and fragile unit is beyond me. Balance and all is fine but I would like to see it a Shorter range juggernaut personally. In: COH2 Balance

I guess everybody plays opponents in different game modes and different experience levels. I would like so see a good replay of a Ostwind getting Vet 2 and kicking ass. Thats killing RETREADED infantry that are just standing in Range. Big difference. All you need is a T34 to lol the Flakpanzer. Not worth the price of a P4. Notice its not seen in games very often anymore.... Its worse than the T70 and T34 in that regard. Even though they are Bleck now at least they cost less than 115 fuel to be bleck.... In: COH2 Balance
