I think it means that the servers don't check your veto list with your opponent(s). The server compares it with every single player who is searching for a game. So for example if there are 1000 players searching and 500 of the vetoed map X and only 10 people vetoed Y, map X won't be picked but map Y will be since it has the lowest amount of vetoes, even if you had vetoed it.
I don't think this is true either. Veto = not gonna play a map and that's how it should be. Some maps are just horrible to play in for a variety of reasons, mostly favoring one starting side or faction.
-veterancy
-map vetoes
-mines (at least tellers sometimes don't do damage, happened in ESL too this week)
-MGs stuck inside houses
-MGs not able to change direction inside houses
-anti-tank guns getting immobile
-units stopping when receiving damage (at least AT guns, sometimes tanks too?)
Whatever's next will be a much more polished game, Relic have more funding a bigger team, and most importantly a publisher that isn't failing.
I'll be looking at the likely DoW3 and watching the review scores come in, to see any immediate evidence of this. Hopefully I'm right.
Tbh this is kinda naive, they have had many opportunities to listen to the community and learn from their mistakes during CoH2 already, but they haven't done a very good job.
No. No new factions, no new anything. Focus on fixing the game if you (Relic) want it to become a real esport. Also having the japanese fight alongside OKW on moscow outskirts against brits and the USF doesn't really sound interesting...
Like every time relic has not testet their own patch after more as 2 months development even once and thx for land Mattress, 40 fuel, 5 cp, 30 rockets per barrage and same dmg as katjuscha???????
Been like this since 2013, but this is by far the worst patch so far. They never learn.
