say what you want, but if AA doesn't give you some extra commanders or something like that, it's totally not worth it, even if campaign is awesome, it's max 6 hours of playing

Replay value seems much higher than the vanilla campaign, and I have played 60 missions in that

I would suggest that most people here however will:

Be multiplayer gamers

Have a higher skill level a beat the AI fairly easily

Therefore:

An SP Campaign isn't appealing

But just because it is not appealing to people here, doesn't mean people won't buy it

There are a lot of things I want to say about this but I cannot in regards to the content and replay value. This community is multiplayer based, there is no doubt about it. AA will have an impact to the multiplayer scene and I fear some members aren't understanding this.

• Some of the new shiney things I experienced in AA should make their way into multiplayer at some time. I did not ask this questions directly but my business senses were tingling. Relic would be absolutely silly/naive not to do so.
  
• Some customers will buy AA and make their way into multiplayer. A larger online player base is good for all of us.
  

Hello internet strangers and all my beautiful Bears,

I had the last minute opportunity to hang with Relic in Vancouver. If you all had a chance to catch the stream today with Quinn and Cynthia I was the special guest at the end. I had to sign my life away to a 17 page NDA before being able to enter the main office so I can't talk about specifics. Don't even think about hitting me up for inside information, I'll maul your face. There are some things I can talk about though and that is what this thread is about.

• Yes, they ACTUALLY read the forums. Both of them. When I say they I don't mean just the select staff whom post. The large majority of the staff lurk. It would be safe to assume that they know and are working on a lot of our pain points. I mean this in the grand sense of the title and not just balancing.
  
• Yes, they also have a QA department and read/collect/act on bug splats.
  
• Yes, the NDA is real and it sucks. Unfortunately, it would appear that Relic is rather risk adverse and the legal barriers are preventing staff from communicating with us in a more open fashion. Cynthia eluded to this during the stream. It is a tough spot to be in.
  
• The staff I got to meet are passionate and personally invested in the titles success. Some of the posts we make here affect them in real life. Take this into account in the future. I'm guilty of some less than flattering posts about Relic but I try to be constructive in my criticism.
  
• From what I observed, and I was not allowed entry into some places, Relic is working on enough stuff and things that CoH2 will be actively supported for a long time. Think years, not months.
  
• Cynthia, the new Relic Community Manager does play the game. She also understands a lot of the communities pain points and is making things happen.
  

Now lets talk about the Bear in the room. The upcoming expansion Ardennes Assault. I got to play it for about 2 1/2 hours in their party LAN room. I am not a single player guy, I never played the vanilla single player nor have I purchased the WFA add on. It really never appealed to me.

Given the NDA, here is my review of AA in all of its details.



Cynthia, Mitch, Dave. The three of you were great to me and displayed passion, a positive attitude, and sounded like you were pretty alright at the game. You are welcome to join The Angry Bears anytime. It is the highest compliment I can give you.

I would ask the community to support Relic. Consider pre-ordering AA as a sign of that support.

I suspect 1 new commander for each faction. My bear senses smell something new.

some nice changes but im mostly interested in "Long term, we will be addressing faction scaling, how the power of a faction compounds into the late game, and difficulty of play related to Allied army composition. That said, other factors will likely be added to that list as we further investigate some of the challenges players are facing"

Be interesting to know how they plan on addressing this, i.e. unit buffs/changes or faction re-designs.

I totally missed this line. That is great news.

My thoughts are it is a good start. There are many good changes but there are a lot of things missing.

Edit: Not to sound like a huge downer. Was hoping that there would have been something to help the bigger game modes but right now I'm just not seeing it. JT is still strong, Volks with Shreks will still vet up really fast, etc etc
