But i will say this to the Relic.
How do you explane that: If someone says today " What about COH2, is it a god game? Should i buy it?
The answer you probably will hear is:
Oh man, they took a Ferrari (vCOH) and turned it in to a FIAT (COH2).
What i am trying to say is that "when you see smoke there is a Fire".
And Noun, there was Smoke for COH2 at release, so dont tell my you did not see the fire.
You chose your path for the game and the the majority did not like it and they stated that. You had the change to change the path but you chose not to do so.
Bottomline is, 3 years ago when you heard "Company of Heroes" you would alos hear " Wow, best RTS ever". If you hear it now probably you will get a "mehhhhh, huuuh, let me see, i dont know man".
And this is 100% Relics fault.
P.S. I Like COH2 but i thing i would 1000 time better if you had done at least 50% of what the Casters, Fans and the comunity wanted!!!
P.S. II It is realy sad to see thet TFN (and maybe SNF) are leaving the COH scene. It hurt me to read what Tommy wrote. I did not know this details.
TNF, i hope you come back, i am not unsuscribing you YT Channel:-)

For the first time i agree with "Katitof"!!!

I think the solution is to make german mines more appealing and efective!

Come on.. you can't be that naive.
The reason why lobby games are the pits is because it gives the hosting players the ability to choose their opponents, and they're looking for easy pickings. So really you're either looking to swindle some noobs to join a game so you can troll them or you're naive and you're setting yourself up for a big disappointment.
Once in a while you might get lucky and find a game where you get to build your pretty arty and watch the fireworks but you'll still have to swim through shit 90% of the time.
I feel sorry for this people, really. That's low. I would not to play with this players even in auto-match.
But you know, there are other people who will not be doing this because they want the exact opposite. To find a same skilled player and play a game and be able to choose the settings.
Look, i am not taking sides. I believe that everybody should get what he wants if its possible (and it is possible). At the moment only one side gets what they want!!! |
With the current tech/tier system, a soviet player would only need to gather 30 fuel to get a halftrack if it was in T2. A german needs to gather a lot more before he can call in a halftrack.
Maybe you have the numbers right but... I see german Halftracks after i don't know, maybe 3-4 minutes. So it would be (almost) the same for russians because they built T2 most of the time after 3-4 minutes. To get a little bit ahead of you... if someone builts it right away he has to wait also about 2 minutes to get the fuel or if he does build the halftrack he can not afort AT Granades and Molotovs.
So i think it's the same!!! |
I would say that the russin Halftrack should be in T2 like the German.
It is a infantry reinforce Unit, isn't it???
Why can the Germans have it in T2?
I know, not everything should be the same for the Factions but i think this should!!!
My argument is this:
The germans can choose (after T2) T3 or T4 and they still have the reinforcment-option.
The russions dont. The have to choose also between T3 and T4 but if they want T4 and the reinforcment-option they have to build T3 also.
Am i right? :-) |
I dont understand why everything must be about winning/competivness(thats automatch for insn't it?).
In life everything is about that, thats why some people (me and others) choose to play GAMES (you know games? not real life) to have FUN and not trying to be the best. I dont want to destroy my nervs because i have to micro like crazy to get a win!!! I want to have FUN. I want to see where my Arty-shells land so i can enjoy the grafics of the game. So everyone who wants to be competitive (to be a Pro) can kiss my A.. because i (and others) don't want to.
I want to have FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN.
And therefor give the Pros the Automatch and give the rest (as you pros say "the Noobs", because everybody who plays anything beyond 1v1 Automatch is a Noob as the "Pros" say) the Lobbys they want so EVERYBODY is happy. All the Games have Maybe i don't know, 2000-5000 Pros (depants on the Game) but the Noobs are more....
So i rest my Case.
I dont want that COH2 becomes only a "E-Sport-Game", i can be but it can be also a "Having Fun-Game".

Now i get too (why everybody is bitching about the TA, and they are right).
I played yesterday a game (not playing so much online, about 30 games 1v1),
after 30 minutes of hard battle i had about 70% of the map and i had more units from my opponent. I was going to win but suprise, suprise, the TA came out and i lost. I could play better after the TA came out but beyond that, it is (you can say what ever you want german fanboys) a "out of jail card". Even my opponent admited that.
So sto whinning that it gets nerfed. Its suppose to because it is rediculously Stong. |
Any chance of adding the old stripes back for veterancy? Rather then those ugly dots?

I've played Company of Heroes for over 5 years, I participated in the CoH2 alpha, beta, and two playtests at Relic's offices. I've talked to developers, engaged in discussions with other top players. I've put a hell of a lot of time into CoH and CoH2 because I want the game to be amazing

I love both of them (vCOH and COH2) in their own way. I do feel, however, that CoH2 deserves to be cut some slack since it's hardly the steaming pile of shit people make it out to be.

7) Possibly the worst optimized game ever. Mid range cards have very inconsistent frame rates even on lowish settings. Even high end cards can barely manage to max the game out. No sli or crossfire support either, its like the gfx programmer is some intern working his way through gaming school.

Paid DLC is necessary. Paid DLC that affects gameplay is not. The game has no hope of being popular competitively if all commanders aren't available to everyone eventually.

This is from me:
I understand everyone who is upset with COH2 because, let us be honest, everybody expected more (i am not going in to details) but i also agree with the ones who like the game. The truth is in between IMO.
And one last thing (its a little bit of Topic i think).
What is that big difference about the cover-system (green, yellow, red cover) between the 2 games? I read it so many times and i googled it but i cant find a clear answer.
Please let me know...
Thanks!
