I understand the idea, but it's still clearly lacking. Literally zero reason outside of PPSh docks. It doesn't adress main issues with cons (simply because cons themselves are bad) - they still drop like flies without vet against anything with vet 2 or higher. They only became better at utility role and thats pretty much it. 1 squad with it would be useful, otherwise - no, I am totally not impressed even with 1.2 exp gained modifier. Maybe with 1.3... XD

About core changes.
Ostwind.
Good changes overall, but reduce vet 2 AA bonus to 35%. 40% kinda too much. Also I don't like new AOE cap. Maybe 3 models instead of 2? The main problem is the fact that Ostwind had damaged pretty much all models in cover, which resulted in heavy damage and good wipe potential. Allies realistically have very few 4-man squads (CE, partisans, Commando officer, Vehicle Crew and, partly, RE), so there is not much reason to cap Ostwind so brutally.
Hope that those buffs affect OKW Ostwind.

Easier to include in BO, but the way I see it - if you had builded them earlier - you will still build them. If not - 4 grens all the way in as usual.
Better vet 1 is good, build time, pop and reinforce time - all good.

About Assault Section - maybe it should be 3CP without Platoon Command Post requirement? Or require weapon unlock?
M5 with quad in my opinion is not a step in to the right direction, but it fits thematically, I guess.

And since we see core units changes - what about Comet buffs? And I personally think that Bolster Sections should get nerf to research time (+ 15-20 sec). |
Overall good and solid. Too much of smoke, but that can be both good and bad, depending on situation. Assault sections maybe a little too powerful against WM in early game, but not really sure (70 muni for 1 upgrade is a big investment). Half-track is not impressive, some additional utility would be good. M10 seems perfect after endless Firefly spam and against heavy german TDs. |
I really like rifle nades despite all their problems. Even if this ability would be replaced by flamethrower, I still would like to see it. In Rifle Company instead of flamer.
Dozer Blades could use some buffs. It's overpriced and cripples tank mobility. Maybe +160 hp instead of +80? Maybe more armor from upgrade? Maybe something else?
Good stuff with rangers, but it's still problematic to include them, if you don't lose rifles. Also - can you decrease chance to drop weapon for rangers? Not on the level of guards, but something not far from it.

Panzerfusiliers are the biggest concern in this doctrine. I actually want to see 1v1 games with high level players and 4v4 with decent level players with this doctrine. And I don't care about their AI being bad with schrecks, I am concerned with their survivability. It doesn't matter if even combat engineers can force them back - your tank will be already on fire when it's happens. Maybe schrecks should increase size of PF? With cost decrease. Alternatively, schrecks accuracy decrease, but it can result in their uselessnes.
Both TM and smoke supplement schrecks blob, which something I really don't like.
I don't understand why nobody likes MP-40 for volks and the fact that this upgrade got it's own slot. It's kinda map dependant, but generally one squad with MP-40 is useful and they become a little bit better now.
I wanted command Tiger for OKW, not normal one (primarily due to cost). In worst case scenario there will be 1,5 minute difference between command Panther call-in and Tiger call-in. Which is bad in my opinion. And overall WM-kind of Tiger is bad variant for OKW. Command Panther is certainly better in some situation, but Tiger is allrounder tank and generally have bigger impact on the battlefield. |
Assgrens become marginally better out of the gate, not a bad change, but insufficient. 6 man really adds to their survivability and improves scaling situation. But I am totally not happy about increase in pop.
Sathchel on Pzgrens are arguable, especially when those upgraded with schrecks. Pzschrecks should lock Satchel?
Panzer IV J obliviously better than H, but not sure if this is enough. Maybe some additional ability or something.
Happy about TA, but the cost... It feels a little too much.

Airborne Guards are in strange place - their abilities are good when they without DP (because in that state they practically penals), but with DP their Orrah and smoke grenades are kinda meh. Maybe DP upgrade should replace those abilities?
SVT Drop is not too bad, even if numbers are not impressive. But - it feels overpriced. It also take 1 slot, which is serious problem for cons. And it's pretty much useless for anyone except cons and CE. There is also flamethrower drop problem.
In case of rework of the ability - how about PTRS for sniper?
Rocket Strafe used the way it shouldn't be used, not sure what to do about that. The strafe itself is bad. |
A reinforce cost and/or upkeep reduction would be great for sure
The thing is that simply reducing cost/upkeep/allowing merge can make them extremely spammable. And it can result in total domination of Partisan Tactics. We already had this problem in the past, there is a little reason to revitalise it. |
How about spawn at 3 models, can be reinforced to 5 and possibly a reinforcement cost adjustment?
I also had thought of this, but not sure how they will perform at their infiltration role. But it had worked for commandos. |
