I get the feeling that they will introduce vCOH HD-versions of US and Wehr this year. If you think of it it would make sense - most units that have appeared in COH2 that also were in vCOH work differently - like the Greyhound, Puma, Rifles etc. Some units haven´t showed - like Nebelwerfer (who doesn´t love it?), Bike, Rangers, Pershing etc. |
Try this: put 2 PG squads with shreks into the halftrack. Try to create a diversion so the ISU 152 cannot see ur ht when u flank it. If u can get behind it with the ht it only will last a few seconds.
I tried this several times and it worked because the ISu is very slow and even more so if he has his scope enabled.
Most players panik once they realize what is happening, making it even more easy for u to get the kill. |
Got one last game too! I was winning on semois, was about to enter with some PGs into the church when the game suddenly stuttered. I was trying to get the PGs out of the church again and clicked the left mouse button a lot - then sync error. I got the win though... |
Had last match at least 4-5 squad wipes - also full health ones. I noted that since last patch (Elbe)
those seem to be more frequent now. Any one else noted this issue? |
Interesting idea. Agreed that for the SU-76 to fulfill an AT role it would need some serious buffs. Right now it does 80 dmg, 93 pen (why 93? such a weird number), and 2.2s reload. Compare that to ZiS and SU-85 that does 160 damage, 170 penetration, and 4s reload.. which is much better AT.
SU-76 is considered useless by many because it doesn't really fill a specific role, unlike many other units in the Soviet arsenal. It can take out light vehicles reasonably fast but by the time it comes out, you're facing P4s so most people opt for a safer investment that is the SU-85.
I still think light armored units like the SU76, T70, and the M5 comes a little too late thanks to the 145 fuel requirement Soviet needs to research them. Taking inspiration from Panzer Elite from vCoH, it might be better if the investment to get the initial T3 or T4 building is reduced, and players are allowed to get these lighter units right away. Then if you want to get the harder hitting units like the T34/76 or SU-85, require them to upgrade further for some MP/FU - perhaps adding up to 145 fuel. That way you won't need such huge fuel investment just to get a halftrack and it opens up more flexibility in Soviet midgame play.
This! |
Having played some matches with soviets I encountered another problem that comes as a product of the more infantry heavy early and midgame. In order to counter grens and eventual scout car (you need at-guns now) I built cons, penals, 1 sniper, got at-gun and a maxim - so far so good. Then, just before he sent in the p4, he startet spamming strafing run, pinning my whole infantry - again and again. Thus he gained more and more map control, which meant gg for me.
As a conclusion, I think that strafing run has become much more powerful with more infantry on the field.
Anyone else encountering this problem? Solutions? |
Yes an expensive unit designed to counter large blobs of infantry!
Remember: Though shalt not blob!!! or so
I hope we see it again soon - it´s such a nice little bugger... |
I have no issue with DLC as such. It's more the way it is used to reserve game breaking units for those who want to dump more money on the game.
I had planned to buy all DLCs, but changed my mind when I saw what the Boss Tiger Ace did to the game. I'm not buying anything further if that's the way Relic s playing it.
Think about it, Relic. I bet I'm not alone here.
Yeah - this is so true! I didnt just not buy the new batch of commanders but I also didnt buy the new TOW DLC! I might have, but I think this is the only way to reach a company - by not buying their products anymore... |
For me its just the "please wait" notification - doesn´t connect though. |
Thxs 4 not adding new commanders!
Sounds like they might have listened and changed their business plan.
Mud & input lag really sound nice!
All things considered a step into the right direction. |
