so you place a lot of mines near each other, if one detonates there will be a chain reaction detonating all mines one by one very fast? how far away do you place them? i imagine that the bazooka will not hit exactly there where you clicked but it just needs to hit one of the mines? |
i see many people saying to flank a blob. flanking a blob is just a potential squad loss. if the flanking squad gets focus fired its retreat path will most probably go through the blob. |
for all those that say this statistic doesnt prove anything. just imagine an extreme result. imagine if the numbers were 80% win ratio for one faction? would that prove something? its a great statistic, all those measurement problems you mention equally apply on all factions, and by choosing only the top 200 the measurement successfully evades l2p problems and focuses mostly on the real balance of the game mechanics. if someone says that maybe the soviet 200 players are better than 200 OKW players its a pure assumption and no argument, the pure number of 200 people on such a small playerbase is proof enough that they are ~equally skilled and played almost the equal amount of games. |
good that the most micro intensive faction has mines that also need to be microed. |
If Schrecks would be less accurate at long range so the Sherman could stay at distance and decimate the squad with HE that would make a huge difference. But now as soon as the Sherman gets into range it will get hit. Forcing it to disengage befor it can inflict meaningfull damage. It doesn't even have enough time to take out a MG or FlakHT so the rifles can come in and deal with the Volks. So the options for combined arms are also severely limited.
I completely agree with your whole post. This quoted thing is how it was solved in vCOH, currently no real advantage for USF to hold most map, no mines to fortifie your position or to stall the enemy counterattack and the speed advantage for teching is nullified by OKW having T0 units that effectivly counter everything the USF has. |
Bulldozer and Easy Eight. He didn't say "nondoc" in his post.
Well i said medium tank, and i meant all non doc ones. Because those couls be partialy classified as the heavies from the US. But lets not discuss semantics. |
No it doesn't. Not if you read all my posts.
Answer: situations in which you gatter a few volk squads with 5 vet level are verry rare in 1v1 or 2v2 for instance. On bigger maps for 3v3 and 4v4, to withdraw and bring again your infantry squads from bases it takes for ever so I don't think having a powerfull infantry is such a big advantage on these mods. Shermans, Easy 8, T34 can scall in veterancy also, you know?
In every 1v1 game that lasts more than 30mins there will be at least 2vet5 volks, because of the incredible accuracy an penetration at max range they just need a few shots to get to vet5, in every single game against OKW that lasted more than 30mins, so the opponent was equaly skilled, a few vet5 volks is really no accident but a rule. And to round all that up the volks just need to A-move, or even worse when paired with übermenschen not even mg´s can stop them, because they will be just shot down at max distance from obers. |
Since when volks are the most durable squad in the game?!!? Since when you can fight medium allied armor in this game JUST with volks with schrecks?!
since at vet5 they have recieved accuracy at 52.5%, and at vet0 the schrecks penetrate every allied medium armor with 100% chance, and even at max range they have almost 100% hit chance.
Does that B in your nick mean biased? |
why would you decrease the cost of schrecks then? its obviously a no brainer upgrade, you get it if you can. Obers are also gamebraking units, especialy in the combination with super accurate schreck that dont miss a single time on max distance during the entire game. if you reduce the cost it would be almost the same, even worse. they would get it sooner, it would maybe and just maybe prolong the time for ober LMG-s. |
its a good idea. it would then be like in vCOH, panzerschreck on 4 men sturmpios (grenadiers with schrecks in vCOH), and the ability to buy MP40 on volks without the panzerschreck upgrade (like in vCOH) making them a great unit on near range (you dont have to buy it leaving them a solid far range assistance). and of course obers (vCOH knights cross holders) with MP cost reduction but with the need to buy the LMG (2LMG so that the damage is better splited). The challenge would be the early M20 or AA HT rush, exactly the same challenge like in vCOH greyhound, but with a raketen aim time buff and maybe a panzerfaust ability on the volks that would be perfectly balanced |
