Guess I was a bit unclear again, but those were just the absolute differences in reload time. IE. 82mm in barrage reload speed while ignoring the aim times is (3.575+2.125+1)=6.7 and 81mm barrage is (2+2)=4 so difference of 2.7, while the firing speed difference in autofire is 4.225
got it. thank you |
Where's the 4.5 seconds from? Because the autoattack reload is 2.4 seconds for ostheer, leading to ~60% faster ROF...
Ostheer mortar has better distance scatter, soviet has better angle. Effectively: ostheer mortar is probably just as accurate at max range, slightly less accurate at min range.
Soviet mortar benefits far more from barraging than ostheer mortar. When barraging the soviet 82mm is more accurate than 81mm in every category, and the reload difference is reduced to 2.7 seconds from 4.225 seconds.

hmm. so whats the actual reload then? 2.7/4.225 or 7.5/3.575 (as listed in the links)?. im not trying to be a smartass (really, i blew my chance at that ), but rather understand how the whole calculation works, since i find it quite interesting |
That is the unused OKW version of the weapon, you want to look at this one:

busted. you mess with the cruzzi, youre gonna embarress yourself. but no worries i wont rage delete my posts to hide my shame just edit it a little so ppl wont be confused.
still where do you get the reload times of the soviet mortar from? am i again looking at an unused usf 82mm? |

all stats are actually from that page. youre right with the second part though. max scatter is the same ill edit my posts accordingly
Edit: coh2-stats seems to have different reload times for the soviet 82mm autofire/barrage than you mentioned, too |
double post. so sorry |
doesnt vet 2 drastically improve wehr mortar performance
81mm Mortar (ostheer)
Vet 2 -20% Scatter -40% Ability Recharge
Vet 3 +33% Range
82mm Mortar (soviet)
Vet 2 -20% Scatter -40% Ability Recharge
Vet 3 +33% Range
same bonuses. scatter ratio between ost/soviet wont change. so its still +20% rof advantage for ost and -20% scatter advantage for soviets.
edit: actually to all those who argue that the ost mortar is way better: stats are balanced... performance might differ, but one couldnt possible say if RoF or less scatter is better. too many fucking variables. the only thing that ISNT asymmetrically balanced is the survivability. while the soviet mortar has 6 men ost comes with only 4 crewmembers, which dont have any armor (they used to didnt they?) to offset the fact that they have less men |
tomorrow 14:00 PST (around 9 GMT)
9 pm that is |
i was wrong......
time for 1 shot is: aim time (same for both, ignored) + windup + wind down + reload
when auto firing this should be:
ost
2.0s + 2.0s + 4.5s (aim time, again, will be ingored since its the same for both and does include range to target)
= 8.5s + aim time depending on range to target
soviet
2.125s + 1.0s + 7.5s (yeah aim time my ass)
=10.625s + aim time depending on range to target
so when shooting at the same range the ost mortar is 2.125 secs faster, which isnt 60% faster at all (reload is actually that much faster, windup slower though).....
so here i am fanboy and all, shitting on your argument.
difference in RoF and scatter angle is about the same!
take that in your commie/murica nuts
edit: it actaully is 20% more/less in both cases

He said earlier he uses google news to monitor coh2 news
