Thread: SU 76 isn't that bad7 Jan 2014, 16:44 PM T34 has 80 penetration, 120 damage and something like 5 sec reload, SU76 has 95 penetration, 80 damage and 2.5sec reload. It also has 60 range compared to T34 40 range. However, T34 kills infantry much better because of its splash damage and 2 coaxial MGs and has 640hp(su76 has 320). SU76m gets +20 damage at vet2(that is 100 damage). I build 2 of SU-76 if I go t1-t4 with guards, its enough to destroy medium armor. Then I either build su85 if I see heavy vehicles or spam su76 if opponent builds t3 or save for ISU-152 or t34-85 call-ins. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: when you see your first Agren squad, what do you do ?2 Jan 2014, 16:48 PM I build t1 or t2 right at the start and 3 conscripts, scout with them for what units my opponent has and then get whatever counter I need. Against Agrens I a get Penal squad equipped with flamethrower or Sniper In: COH2 Gameplay

Don't expect to make any friends using them. In fact, expect to be hated. I would expect them to get whacked with the nerf bat again, actually. Caveat emptor. Other commanders that I would say are worth your time and won't cost you your soul or dignity are... Ostheer: Spearhead, Joint Operations, Luftwaffe Supply, and Lightning War Soviet: Counterattack, Armored Assault, Shock Army, Urban Defense I'd also add Soviet Mechanized Support commander. Thread: Guard25 Dec 2013, 23:32 PM They are pretty bad at vet0 and vet1 but vet2 or vet3 squad upgraded with dp-28 does great amount of damage to infantry. But they are very vulnerable to rifle grenades. Regarding guards and snipers , get 1conscript and 2 snipers and then 3 guards with dp-28. Then get 2 su76 and 1-2 munition caches to float muni for late game and wait for your call-ins(I like the isu-152). The point is to not get into open engagements and using indirect fire and snipers to bleed out your opponent. Guards are there just to guard your assault guns and snipers from flanking german tanks, buttoning them. Also focus on muni points because even 2 caches are not always enough In: COH2 Gameplay

I like terror more than Anti-Infantry because I think that Howitzer and IL-2 bombing run are more useful abilities than Recon Overflight and Incendiary Bombs. I want to stop particularly on what is written about their equipment: Each PB had: ---3 riflemen companies - each squad in riflemen platoon had light machinegun. Each riflemen company also had platoon of 50mm mortars. ---1 submachinegunner company equipped with PPD and PPSH submachineguns. ---1 HMG company equipped with old Maxims and modern Goryunov HMGs (SG-43). ---PTRS company ---Mortar company with 82mm mortars. Nothing is written about SVT-40. They often left gas masks before assault to be able to carry as much bullets and grenades as they could. Penal batallions always had the hardest tasks, they started fighting first and finished last, thats why they needed good equipment and lots of ammo. Giving them sticks as someone mentioned above seems to be a very bad idea. I think that they need an armor buff, something like 1.15-1.2 armor so they can deflect at least some shots.
